  1. Some great old bands getting back together. I saw The Eagles recently, they were amazing!
  2. I'd give Lee a phone, he'll be able to give you some advice on it & also tell you what the previous owner asked him to do. When he fitted my engine he advised me to replace as many pipes & hoses as possible. If the previous owner was on a tight budget he might not have followed lees advise. There's always a risk when fitting a second hand engine, especially if you havnt heard it running.
  3. I like these too, they still look modern when you see them on the road today.
  4. Yeh, amazing what cars some people have in their garages. Or leave rusting on the driveway.
  5. You're right, very rare he gets what he wants selling at auction. They're always clients cars though so he'll still get paid.
  6. I was watching a repeat of chasing classic cars. He sold a Ferrari for I think it was $1.7million, 3 years earlier it was only worth $300,000 & he couldn't sell it at that price. Got me thinking about future classics. So if you had up to £10,000 to invest in a car what would it be? I would probably go for either a Triumph GT6, a mitsubishi Starion or a Mercedes sl.
  7. I received this Carbing strut brace in the post. Bargain off eBay, gona look great after a little polish.
  8. Thanks Si, not sure what type of oil was used but can find out.
  9. I'll change the bushes first then & see what difference it makes. Where's the best place to get them? The gearbox oil was changed earlier this year & it's still topped up ok.
  10. Thanks for the info Ian. That's a good price, it's what a second hand box would cost anyway. what's the name of the company? Do they remove & refit the box aswel or not?
  11. Thanks, I've been told that it is probably the bushes.
  12. Having a few issues with the gearbox. It's a bit clunky when going into 2nd plus when I need to change down the gear stick will sometimes judder as if it's trying to jump out of gear. I don't know whether to get this box reconditioned or chance buying a used one & hoping its good. Has anyone had a box reconditioned? Was it expensive?
  13. Short shifter £15 delivered sold Gear knob brand new never fitted £25 delivered Hicas lockout bar £15 (would need to check postage price) Mid level spoiler £60 pick up only. Cat not included
  14. Will do mate. Hoping to go again before winter. Must have been well over 50 bikes there today.
  15. Sorry to hear this, must be the worst feeling in the world to lose your mum. I'd definitely speak to someone, don't bottle it up. Hope it works out ok for you.
  16. Went for a drive into wales this morning, the Horse Shoe Pass, with my mate who's just bought a new motor bike. Would make a great meeting place for the north west/north wales crew. Decent cafe there too.
  17. Lol. It was 8:30 in the morning Bri so think they're all still in bed down there.
  18. Thanks Gary, & sorry if I've made you miss JAE even more!
  19. Cheers guys, I'm very happy with her, still got a few niggles to sort out but suppose that's normal for a zed. One more pic.....
  20. I realised I hadn't really finished off this build thread so I drove down to Seacombe this morning & took a few pictures in front of the Liverpool skyline. She's driving well although she will look a bit different next year when I change the rims, fit a spoiler, put on new shocks & lowering springs & give the paint a once over but considering what she was like when she was shipped off to Lee Dents I think she looks great.
  21. Are we gona do an earlier drive on the Saturday aswel? I couldn't get any good pics last time in the dark.
  22. Nice pics Rich. The event was good for a first attempt. Would've liked to have seen more classics there but the venue was great. Sorry I didn't have time to speak to you guys much but was trying to keep Harry occupied & was queuing for food for about half an hour. Will be in the zed next time.
  23. I'll be there Saturday for the day.
  24. The smooth look definitely looks better with the diffuser. It is easy to sand down.
  25. The baby is only 4 months so don't wana put him in the zed just yet, don't think the baby seat would fit anyway. Will see you all tomorrow.
