Thanks Stephen that will come in handy. Spoke to the wheel guy on Facebook, he doesn't do wheels any more but he said he thinks they are 2 piece. Gona have a gud look when I get home.

Still need to decide on colour. Polished lip & maybe black chrome centres? Or stick with silver? Think anything too dark might make the wheel look smaller as they're only 17"

If they're 3 piece then I'll probably get a professional to do them, I'll do them myself if they're 2 piece. Thanks Daffy, I'll give that guy on facebook a message & see what price he charges.

I'm not sure Si. I thought they were 2 but looking online I've seen a few people mention they're 3 piece. I'll keep you posted on how it goes Trev, hopefully the hardest bit is taking them apart.

Really? Even though I'm only splitting the front face? Didn't think it'd be too hard doing it that way, just need to torque the bolts back up correctly. All the wheels have brand new tyres on so don't wana take the them off.

I've had these wheels for over a year now & want to get them refurbed as soon as I get back from my holiday. I've read a lot of companies won't touch split rim alloys so gona do it myself & need some advice. I've already split the front faces of the wheel off which are gona be sent off to be powder coated. When I put the face back on do i need to use any seal or just bolt it up? I've got some thread lock to use on the bolts. Also, as I havnt removed the rim it won't affect the tyre holding air will it? I wouldn't want to get them built back up to find out they've gota be taken apart again. I've been searching previous posts on the forum but just got more confused by it all so any advice is appreciated.

Put some bbs wheels on the 240z. Think I've managed to make a cheap £10 maisto model look pretty nice.

Cheers Gary, that Route 66 badge is from Route 66, got it free when I bought a load of licence plates in Seligman. My loft is full of delorean & back to the future models.

Following on from Gary's post here's a few pictures of what I've collected over the years. Just got a new display cabinet so only putting the good stuff in there, mostly 1:18 Jap model cars. Still havnt got the new wheels for my 240z. Ive got more models in the loft as the cabinet doesn't hold as much as I thought it would.

I'd go 99 spec if it's genuine.

Well if u go for the 99 spec keep me in mind for the 89 spec bumper & lip.

I put her away for the winter. Gona strip out the interior over the next few months, got a few ideas I wana try.
