Alan. I have been giving this a lot of thought mate. I have dripped various chemicals on a hot exhaust with no definate results. Then it came to me. When seated in the 300zx your head is a lot closer to your ar5e. :rofl:

I have been thinking about a plasma TV. Only want a 42" or even 38" but whilst looking at an array of plasmas in Tescos I noticed that the best quality picture and it was way above the rest was a Toshiba. 2nd place IMO was the Sony. But the picture on the Toshiba was excellent. The clarity might not have been that obvious had it not been displayed next to the others. That's the one for me when I do go Plasma.

THanks bud. Not sure that they would only look good on a black car though. I have seen all colour skylines with carbon wings and the carbon looks good? Still a personal choice I think they would go well on a RED 300ZX. Especially if there was some more carbon to compliment it elswhere on the car? vini:cool:

I have never been a fan of these things TBH. I much prefer the idea of the slick top and as a result have been wondering if these can be replaced with painted sheet metal or even carbon fibre? Has anyone ever converted the lids for a more permanent item or... can they be painted? I would imagine paint would have a job sticking to glass.

Cheers Daz. Anyway. I have sorted the Turbo timer out. I took the centre consol out and found a poxy wire off and the Stereo. That was the constant live and switched live crossed? Some one with no fooking idea must have spent half an hour in the car? The lights I have no idea? I have checked and couldnt find a fuse that corresponds to the lights so checked all of them and nothing is blown. It dont look like this person has been anywhere near the fuse panel...Thank fook. I havent yet tried to tackle the speedo, I have got to take the instrument panel out anyway so will check that when its out which might in turn sort the heavy steering too.. The aircon fuses are all intact so will have a go at that tomorrow if it aint pi55ing down. Will keep you posted about the aircon Daz,:cool:

The turbo timer actually works (as in comes on) but it seems to have gotten a mind of its own and does not function properly, I think a new item would be favourite as I never knew how to work it anyway LOL. LOL. I can think of a lot worst to stalk mate. :rofl: Although I much prefer the Mustang now.

I have noticed a few problems. 1. Head lights: Only main beam comes on even when in low beam position the high beam is only on. 2. No speedo: Does not work at all. (could be related to 4.) 3. Stereo back up: Wont hold settings in memory. 4 Power steering goes heavy quite often: (already asked about this). 5 Turbo Timer: Not working. (Going to get a new item soon) 6. Air con: Only comes out hot. I have been told that the bloke who had it, from which I got it back had a flat battery and put the jump leads on the wrong way round? But he deny's this and has said that some wet got up behind the fuse panel and he had an electrician sort it out. I am not that bothered by it as I can fix it as soon as I have some time but I just wondered if these problems could be something common?

Burning engine oil has a very distinct smell. Almost scary if you love your car I would suggest it could be transmission fluid? that has a more sharp smell and is very pungent. Just a suggestion?

Heres another: I was dreaming as usual about buying a Mustang or a Monaro or the like and so was looking on Autotrader. I saw this really nice Monaro in red full VXR kit on it and the 6.0 vented bonnet and it had a very nice number plate to boot. 2 days later I was driving back from Leeds and this very same car over took me on the M1. Whats the chances of that?
