The pipe is part of the AIV system, you probably have an aftermarket exhaust and no place to plumb them back into the AIV system. A lot of people delete the AIV system anyway so you might want to do this. I believe it should be closed off though not left open, so it could be a cause for a possible boost leak. This could explain the problem with your boost gauge. Also it would be advisable to do a boost leak test to make sure you have no leaks any where else. If you search on google or this forum you can get detailed info on the AIV system and how to do a boost leak test. With regards to the gauges i would advise fitting aftermarket ones as the original ones are not accurate at all. Well done for getting her back on the road looks like a really nice Zed. Regards Paul

No damage to the car not even the paint work just use it to break the seal on the sealant then bend it out.

I broke the seal with a hammer and chisel and bent the plate at the top and bottom. Then wiggled it up and down till the welds came off.

When the car was auto i always seemed to get 19 mpg. After the conversion i thought id see if there was any difference. Results: I now get 22mpg. Every little helps :laugh:

Could not get datascan working due to driver issues on win7 64bit. Anyway tried again on conzult and its now working normally. Code 55!! Laptop must have been having an off day! Just need to sus the drivers out for datascan now.

I ran a diagnostic test about 2 weeks ago while my car has been off the road and came back 55 no problems. Today i have been out in the car and thought id check the timing which was ok so thought i would just double check the ecu codes. Came back with this!! CODE 00: ENGINE STALL (83 STARTS AGO) CODE 00: ENGINE STALL (209 STARTS AGO) CODE 00: ENGINE STALL (244 STARTS AGO) CODE 7E: (67 STARTS AGO) CODE 4D: (0 STARTS AGO) CODE AF: (22 STARTS AGO) CODE 48: (85 STARTS AGO) CODE 32: EGR SYSTEM (1 STARTS AGO) CODE 40: (131 STARTS AGO) CODE 6D: (209 STARTS AGO) Doesnt make sense. Has the ecu fried somehow? Car seems to run ok. Also tried erasing the codes and re reading them and the exact same thing. Anyone make any sense of this? Also egr has been deleted for years.
