  1. Do you do boxes for the 300zx boot. I was thinking along lines of custom box with Perspex top with subs inside and a neon to display it
  2. Cool are you gonna put pics up of install
  3. So how many of you have people in the know? I don't wanna lose my zx but I need help doing it. Do you know any welders, painters, fabricators who could spare some time to get my car sorted. Here's hoping. She is a 2+2 in ford electric orange. I need some welding done under body kit at back wheel arches I want to install my iPad into the dash and also build a Perspex/wood speaker unit in boot. Oh and I have to get new rubbers. I'd love to repay her. The idea is to make her like the fast and furious supra. Thanks all
  4. Yeah true. Oh well all winter to get it sorted lol
  5. Ok so leave that alone...someone else said O2 sensors
  6. Well it had this cone filter on all be it clogged and crushed so I fitted a new one. Someone said the japs know their cars and I should re install a standard air filter
  7. Someone mentioned to disconnect battery for few hours but resetting I don't know how too?
  8. ok so my car is overfueling guzzling fuel like it's going out of fashion. No check engine light but ecu reads code 12 air flow meter circuit??. Things I've done....changed spark plugs and fuel filter. Problem started after I replaced the very old tatty crumpled cone air filter. When I say bad...it was that blocked that the engine had almost crushed it inwards trying to draw air in. I'm guessing that the engine over fueled to compensate for lack of air?? I don't know as I'm new to this. I did remove and clean the MAS with proper cleaner for the job and re installed. At first car wouldn't start and when it did it was rough but then I realised I hadn't connected the sensor, so plugged that in and running smooth again but still overfueling. Someone said I need to get it tuned... I just need help please:scooter:
  9. What's aiv dragonback??... Sorry very green to it all but learning quick
  10. That makes me feel so much better knowing that, thx VS...:-)
  11. Lol two marshes that own z. Bet you have better luck than I am...I'm ready to take a hammer to mine
  12. Ok now I'm really really peeved. Took all plastic surround from boot and found the two air vents, taped them over and went for a drive but still fumes...went home and where the vents are I stuck my hand down the holes behind wheel arches and rust rust and more rust and holes. I think I'll just give up!!! Gonna have to take back bumper off and get that welded..I wish I knew a welder....oh heck
  13. Mmmm that's interesting to know...I guess blocking them on a temp basis could tell if it works and also provide a resolve for all us smoke heads lol
  14. I believe it's exhaust fumes...a lot of people have talked about the aerodynamics and exhaust fumes getting in via the boot area but I could check the fuel lines over the plenum
