If you haven't got test equipment then you are best to take a sample to a good aquarium shop and let them do the full range of tests for you. And obviously then you can buy anything you need. Good luck. It's so upsetting when you lose your fish.

Ok. Girlie point of view. Has he always been a bit secretive, or is this different? Some blokes just like a bit of privacy, so has he been uncomfortable with you looking at his mobile phone messages before or is this new? If you admit that you are jealous and maybe insecure, then maybe he didn't mention anything because it's the easy way out to avoid trouble, hoping you wouldn't find out? Obviously a 'gym buddy' is quite a personal relationship so the best way to move forward would be to try to have a calm conversation to explain how you feel and you are NOT being unreasonable. He only has himself to blame if you find out that he has been hiding things from you and the s**t hits the fan!!

I picked my new car up last week from a place 40 miles away. Of course there was hardly any petrol in it so I refused to leave home till they had filled it up. poor sales lady had to queue for ages. Annoying cos the car I traded still had nearly half a tank in. Probably the only car they had with any fuel in it. Should have charged em!!!

Yeah. I live in Manchester where the council are obsessed with the tram. They have just spent umpty million pounds ripping up a perfectly good train line to replace it with a tram line nobody wants. Costs and completion times have spiralled and local businesses are closing down cos nobody can get near. It's chaos and a total waste of money

Apart from my present zed, my pulsar was the best car I've had to drive and the only car I've been forced to sell due to it being broken into in the works dodgy car park, as opposed to just getting bored, so it's a shame she can't afford one. If she can get by with 2 seats how bout an mr2 turbo? Not 4wd but great fun and a half decent boot so slightly practical?!
