  1. Its still 'buzzing' so I suspect the compressors ok, Ill have to see if I can find the thermostat and get a new one....just a thought the thermostat isnt likely to sit in the water for the ice/cold water supply is it?, cos as I said not plumbed in, suppose I should plumb it in first
  2. Was just gonna console you after what ive just been through, then I scrolled down DHO!!:headvswal:headvswal:headvswal

  6. Ive got a GE Profile side by side fridge freezer and its not cooling enough, we recently moved and brought this along with us, unfortunately we forgot to renew our appliance insurance policy when we moved, I know Ive found the manual online before but Im damned if I can find it now, It worked when we first moved for about 3 weeks and since then has just got slowly worse. Is there anything I can do to remedy this myself, any help would be most appreciated. Its a damn good fridge freezer and I dont want the expense of replacing it (Ive seen Z's cheeper than a new one of these!!)

  11. Bought a HID kit about a year ago and I seem to remember being told with this particular kit I had to add a wire (I think for earth purposes) but Im not sure as to add it to where and from where Anyone know what Im talking about??:D
  12. Where will I find the fuse for the fuel guage? the guage doesnt work and I suppose the fuse should be the first port of call, does anyone know if its a standalone fuse or is it used for something else as well? Thanks in advance
  13. so it would effect the warning light and alarm then??
  14. Hiya mate Id be interested to see the wiring for the cruise controll, Is that just 3 on/off push switches?
  15. Cheers Bud, I dont feel any older, Ive felt 60 for a couple of years now!!

  17. Im assuming there should be a boot switch somewhere, coz I know theres a boot light, so questions are 1 Where is the switch (anyone got a picture??) 2 Would the lack of a switch cause my 'door open' light on the dash to remain on 3 Im assuming if 2 above is 'yes' then should there be more than just a wire from the switch to the light, for example a relay 4 Im also assuming if 2 is 'yes' thats why my alarm system is malfunctioning. Any answers would be really appreciative, preferably with any pics to help. be aware that as an auto electrician I make a good joiner!!
  18. Thank you 1 and all, Not really celebrating until weekend and then Ill have to be careful as Im now a very old 48, the night should go something like this... :duffer::duffer::rofl::duffer::rofl::duffer::tongue::nana2::dance::confused::hurl:
  19. I think you have to get in touch with your local council rather than the police and they will point you in the right direction however did you see the tv programme of the guy that put a piece of hardboard about 18"x18" on a lamp post and painted it with yellow stripes? Worked a treat!!
  20. Only small problems with the fitment, still got all sorts of problems with the headlight rubbers fitting though, my biggest complaint was the overall quality of the bumper. anyway its sorted now, and will soon be on the road, I hope!
  21. Very nice improvements to the front bumper, just hope the quality is better than your earlier one.....the one that you told everyone was top quality:nono::nono:
  22. Cheers bud, of to halfrauds it is then :dance:
  23. Halfauds do small indicator lights for motorbikes in the shape of arrowheads, they are e marked. they are only very small and unobtrusive and are ideal for the use on my twins front bumper. But can anyone tell me would they be legal on a car rather than a bike Cheers Pete
  24. Just been sent this email, thought you should all know, hope Ive posted in the right place. You should be alert during the next days: Do not open any message with an attached file called ' Invitation' regardless of who sent it, It is a virus that opens an Olympic Torch which 'burns' the whole hard disc C of your computer. This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list, that is why you should send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it. If you receive a mail called 'invitation' , though sent by a friend , do not open it and shut down your computer immediately. This is the worst virus announced by CNN, it has been classified byMicrosoft as the most destructive virus ever. This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept Hope its of use to someone
  25. cant be that hard to do surely, Ill have a look, but is it legal over here??
