Its true, you dont get a bracket to hold the filter in place so it will kind of move about, but they are easy to make. Ive just secured it using cable ties for the time being. Seems solid enough

Ive just bolted a universal one straight on mate. comes with bolts, 2x gaskets and instructions in japanese :D

Just get a universal Apexi filter from ebay. Bolts straight onto the maf mate.

I believe you can mate. Its only the fronts that are physically larger.

BazzaJG has the stoptech kit although his engine is still in rebuild so he wont have had chance to test them out yet.

I certainly wouldnt say they are better than brembos. However, I have had the UK calipers with the larger discs and the stopping power is definately increased over stock discs. When I eventually got R33 brembos the difference was only marginal. The major difference was felt upgrading to bigger discs, as long as your calipers are in good shape! Pete

We've compared the nissan filter with a Fram one and the seal position is definately different and ive gotta admit, the Fram one looks like it make a better seal with the sandwich plate. :smash: Out of interest, would i be able to install the plate without having to drain the oil?

Your probably right. Anyone know of a sandwich plate that has the same threads as these senders then?

I will double check tonight but from what i remember the thread looked the same all the way across.

not sure what a tapered thread is but the senders get damn hard to turn after 2 or 3 threads in and when I remove it I can see damage to the sender threads
