  4. To be fair to my learners though, they are all pretty good, most likely because its Higher Education and they have to pay to be there ha ha :) But if they are not good, or creating a nuisance in the class, they are reminded where they are, or kindly asked to leave until they can be a productive part of the class. (I think thats the bit they think im stern on...?) I thought prom nights only occured for High school leavers though? this prom for Primary shool leavers thing doesnt happen round my area im sure?? Sorry to hear it spoilt your birthday though, you'd have thought they would have booked for a time in the middle of the day or something if it was a group of kids :s

  6. Im not sticking up for teachers, except me, as i am one in a college, where i am known by the students for being the stern one in the team.... As proof, we have removed the February half term from our second semester, not very americanised eh?? :D So were not all clueless idiots ;) Please be less general about the entire teaching community or i may cry and get the bully to beat you up at the prom! :P

  10. My thoughts exactly :) The wheels are different too, but they are TK at least.... Or the centre caps are anyway :D

  12. Did you get a tip off that a 300 was going to appear??? Ha ha.
  13. I saw that one today..... Did you notice it's missing the TK gearnob and also a Recaro seat....? Looks lovely though! :) Id certainly not turn it down! I love the fact that it looks like a car of its time.....if you know what I mean? Whilst still looking awesome in today's world :)
  14. Should be yeah :) Just getting all cars sorted body wise this year, the 350 has just been fully undersealed, the e30 will be going in soon, then the 300 is off to zedworld in two weeks to get the tin worm removed, and then undersealed. :)
  15. Yes mate that helps ta :) Basically, I currently have an na. And believe if I'm going to tt it then may as well get an engine and build it, out of the car, with all mods and deletes etc done prior to fitting. We have our own workshop at the college I teach at so it can sit in our test cell whilst I'm building it, then test it on our dyno prior to fitting. I was just wondering if anyone had ever done a 'guide to a 400bhp engine' By being on our dyno I'd be looking at power at the fly..... If this guide does not exist then I plan to do one along side my build, including test data, video of build and testing and any extra tuning I try on the engine, as I understand from what I have read these engines already have inlet tract tuning to optimise for low end torque.... So I hope to keep the torque optimised to keep drive ability, whilst attaining a power somewhere near 400bhp. I'm well aware bhp is just pub bragging talk but I'm not looking for huge power. I'm just looking to make a reliable, hopefully very drivable road 300Zx that can hold its own on the quarter miles if I ever finally take it to one :D On another side note, I teach on software called gt suite, if anyone has heard of this it is industry software that uses in depth algorithms to simulate a genuine engine, so when I have an engine in pieces, I will be able to dimension it, spec it, and get approximate values for performance prior to doing anything to the engine at all.... The more fact I can put in with regards to dimension of the engine, the more accurate the results will be. The software also works with inventor so actual 3d design can be integrated to improve accuracy. As I say, I'm hoping to start this project next summer on the holidays so currently just starting to put the feelers out for some general info :) I'll give more details closer to the time of course as it will be interesting (to me at least) as to how accurate my simulation can get.....one of my students this year got his ford puma engine to a 1bhp accuracy on his build of a standard engine..... We were quite impressed! Anyway, that's why I asked the question.... I'm hoping that my discoveries can be used as part of my masters that I'm starting this year. :) Wayne.
  16. Yeah ta, i was just wondering if anyone had ever done a list i.e. parts by x can be obtained from y...... Im gonna do an engine for mine next year so if no one has done one then i shall do one when i have done mine :)
  17. An English article...... http://kairasupercar.blogspot.co.uk/2008/07/m30z.html Enjoy :)
  18. I was just about to post that link as i just found it on google! I feel better about having old school jap 17" alloys now i've seen this special edition :)
  19. Well. Just wondering if anyone had ever put p a spec list of ideal parts for certain engine builds.....? You know, like a reliable 400bhp engine build etc....? Just curious :)
  20. They look really good on the car :) better with the logo in the middle than without in my opinion :)
  21. Hmm.... Going left to right: I had number 2 and fitted number 3.... Are you saying other than appearance the aluminium ones are better and therefore I needed only put on the drilled and grooved discs and pads? We commented on how similar they looked but assumed something internal must have been better on the tt ones......?
  22. Hmm. I'll put pics up of my old and my new......
  23. I only changed mine on jamies recommendation when the car was in at zedworld, he suggested they were more common than the na ones.... They certainly look different to the ones I took off though......
  24. I just swapped my 94na for tt ones. Discs were the same size..... Bolt off bolt on job..... Let me know what dimensions you need and I'll measure mine. Or someone will come along and know straight off :)
