  1. I fitted an undersized pulley set 10 years ago and have never had an issue. Think I got them from Z1 motorsport.
  2. Final update. On a series 2 PTU, the coil negative pins are E1 thru to E6 and the unit needs to be set to 2 coil pack mode. Set the rev limit to the minimum setting and the light should come on at 2000 rpm then work up from there in 200rpm steps to reach your required shift point. Chris
  3. Response from Omex.... "Hi, Pins 11 to 16 of the power transistor unit are the coil negatives. It’s worth checking the coils’ 12v supply before using it as it may turn off with just ignition switch on (engine not running), any switched power supply can be used. 4. Thanks, glad I asked because I'm more unsure now. Will send them an email in the morning with that diagram. :thumbup1:
  5. Hey! I've got RWYB booked at Santapod at the weekend and have just bought a shift light. I was hoping one of you guys have installed one of these before because the instructions don't give me confidence that it will work and I'm going to try installing it one evening this week. Install instructions are here: http://omextechnology.co.uk/OMSLS.pdf It's the 'coil positive' and 'coil negative' I'm concerned about. My plan is to connect the 'coil positive' to a 12v feed and the 'coil negative' to pin 7 on the ECU. Turbo Timer is connected to pin 7 and displays revs (although not matching the rev gauge) so I know that works. Any (helpful ) ideas before I call there helpline? Thanks Chris
  6. Top speed was higher than I've ever done but my start could have been better. Only managed a 2.44 second 64 ft time this year - my best was last year at 2.38 seconds. Off to Santapod next month so hoping for a sub 13 run.... Chris.
  7. So my best time was 13.41 seconds with a terminal speed of 115.3 mph. Quite happy with that!
  8. It's on Saturday - it's the first weekend in September every year ;-)
  9. Well I'm back. Car's running perfectly, weather is looking good and I've a 13.19 second 1/4 mile time to improve on. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  10. Well, I managed a 13.19 1/4 mile with a terminal speed of 111.8 mph. That's the fastest I've ever achived. The Toyo R888R tyres did a fine job and I did not miss third gear this year! Need more power now to get me into the twelves.... Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  11. Hi Guys, just letting you know that i will be competing on Saturday 2nd September in the Brighton National Speed Trials. The Brighton National Speed Trials, is commonly held to be the oldest running motor race. The first race was held 19–22 July 1905 after Sir Harry Preston persuaded Brighton town council to tarmac the surface of the road adjacent to the beach between the Palace Pier and Black Rock to hold motor racing events. This stretch was renamed Madeira Drive in 1909 and the event is still held there. http://brightonandhovemotorclub.co.uk/files/speedtrials/st2017entrylists.pdf Got some fresh rubber this year so hoping for a personal best! Chris
  12. Fitting these.... Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  13. Looks like the same kit I fitted about 7 years ago but don't think I cut any of the pipes. Here are all the pictures I have: Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  14. I'm sure that's the case but it will do for now until I get a new set. [emoji6] Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
