What is the point of an NA Auto?
Interesting chat. I bought my 1995 NA auto specifically because I live in London. Starting and stopping every 15 Meters doesn't really offer the chance to 'enjoy' the thrill of a car! Also the car being an auto NA meant I got a great condition, low mileage, 3 previous owners ZX for a fraction of the price you's pay for the same spec car but TT etc etc. I did test drive a TT manual before purchasing my auto, but had to have a reality check, Why would I need something like a wild horse on a pony trail........ For what I actually get to use the car for (not much, tube most days) it does exactly what I want it to do.

FRONT BUMPER constantly being hit......
Thanks for that, you are right about cold and misted up windscreens. I think the traffic cone rout would be best. cheers, Adam

FRONT BUMPER constantly being hit......
good on ya guys, knew I'd find peeps who have suffered the same. Camera it is...If my neighbour's nanny is rich enough to drive a Range, then they're rich enough to pay for their accidents.....adz

FRONT BUMPER constantly being hit......
Man, I had the front bumper resprayed recently and within days someone had reversed into it! cracked the paint and scuffed it...Now it's happened 4 more times(I think it's one of my neighbours with a Range rover and a nanny! but have no witnesses...) and I'm the T-Cut master! I know how it happens because the front is so low but is there anything I can attach to the front bumper to keep people off? Do other Zed owners suffer like me?? Adam

Shimmy Shimmy ya'll Shimmy yay!
Dear All, Been a while since I been on here, but the advice I've received in the past has been great. I've finally had the 120k timing belt kit done on Redrum (1995 300zx NA) plus new spark plugs, oil filter, oil change, coolent etc etc PLUS a Stillen cold air intake! WOW! The speed and acceleration is noticeably improved. Now time for another question, I know from previous experience that you cannot adjust the front camber on the 300zx. I know from previous alignment sessions that my front right camber is off by a tiny %, meaning I have a slight pull to the left. I've been told by people on this forum that it could potentially be fixed by putting in a 'Shim' to bring it back into line. My question is, who best to do this? Coz in the past I've had bad experiences at the tracking places, they don't seem to give a s**t. Obviously it has to be someone who has the set up and measurement equipment etc but don't know who else could help with this problem?? I'm in London, if that helps. Again, thanks for any advice. Adam

Oil pressure gauge needle??????
Hi guys, Soooo..... I have a NA 1995 z. The oil pressure needle always hangs just below 4. (as a general rule) The other day it went from 4 to 0 once the engine had warmed up. NOW from reading the other posts I know this could be indicative of the sensor being know for being s**t. Checked the dip stick, there's oil, temp is normal, no warning lights etc etc, engine sounds great (as it always does...) Took it for a quick rag today, THE NEEDLE HAS GONE! One minute it was there, next time I look it's just not there..... I've looked real close, it's either off the scale or has dropped off?????? Thoughts please???? Many thanks, Adam

oil & collent, service advice
god you guys are good!! Changing the subject slightly. I'm going to go spoilerless on my LWB (not to everyone's taste...but to mine!) I have the old cracked foam one. If i got that taken off for a smooth finish...do you a) need to put a perspex cover? or can you just weld up holes and spray it up. and b) what happens to the built in brake light that is in the foam spoiler??? many thanks, adz

oil & collent, service advice
Hi there, just tried to search for answers...but it wouldn't let me. I'm getting the 120K service done soon, timing belt etc....But I'm getting a full service as well. I Have a 1995 N/A automatic 300zx so.... a) what the best oil to use for full oil change? and how much 2 litres? b) best coolent? again how much? c) Spark plugs? I don't think they've ever been changed? 62k on clock, worth changing? d) k& n oil and air filter? worth doing? e) rear brake pads, coz at the last mot they flag these up as needing changing at some point soon. any advice gratfully received, Adz

To spoil or not to Spoil?; that is the question.
Hi there, Merry Christmas one and all... Quick question, I have a 1995 N/a in red. It doesn't have the normal 'table top'(?) spoiler, it has the lower foam one. This is cracking all down one side. The rest of my body work is in great condition. I was thinking about removing it and having nothing at all??? Obviously I get it filled and resprayed etc.. Just wondering what people's thoughts are??? And are there any pitfalls I should look out for during this process? Many thanks for any advice, Adz

Redrum passes his MOT!!

Redrum passes his MOT!!
....we me as his owner. Just thought I'd let people know that the Z passed with flying colours, the only thing was headlight aim! Not bad for a 16 year old car! It makes me very chuffed! Just a quick question, the car's now done 61,000 miles. Time for timing belt change....The car is pretty slick and going well, so should I do the half parts change or go the whole hog and do all water pumps, etc etc...Advice please? Cheers, Adam
