Clearly more people must be stealing ford ranger's than supra's and 300ZX's (or writing them off)

Don't use comparison sites, I best quote I got from one of them was £100 more than I got going direct to the company they said was cheapest (which was Admiral)

Speed limiter
Just done a bit of reading some manufactures kill the spark (as already stated retard the ignition) which would give smoke
-
Speed limiter
I also think it cannot be good for your license either lol, The restrictior could work by closing off the air, which would lead to a unclean burn until the fuel supply is also reduced

What do you want the new one for long motorway cruises and everyday use or more for driving enjoyment? Personally I'm not a fan of merc's but the SL55 AMG is nice but more of a motorway cruiser whereas a 911 is drivers car which you can use everyday and for blast round a track

Newbie 300ZX Wanted!
I live walking distance from work, and tbh its only when I go back home (about 100 miles does the MPG really matter) but 15-19 not bad for a 3.0L TT Auto round town my old Mk3 2.0l TDDI Mondeo was getting in the 30's on short town drives (could get 55mpg + on motorway) And yea auto's are worse on fuel mainly due to extra losses in an auto gearbox and the fact the car decides which gear to be in not the driver

low petrol warning light?
Seams a bit pointless.... Light comes on as car stalls due to lack of fuel (I have a feeling that feature probs comes to the car being co-developed by rover)

Definitely don't want any of that cheap c*** on ebay it will cost you more in the long run, with inferior quality

Cheers for that, so is it pretty much rust that kills them? what mechanical things go wrong and how should I look / listen out for on a viewing / test drive?

Newbie 300ZX Wanted!
(I'm 21 in 9 day) best quote i've had is £977 from Admiral (although is £500 more until the day i'm 21) but for the Import was more like £2k, the one I'm looking at is a 1990 FSH Manual
