Cheers for the advice..i have some old clothes ready lol.. so its the lower piper on passengers side of the box i need to remove?

lol. where abouts is the lower cooler pipe located? top of bottom of the box? Cheers

Hi ..people are probably getting used to seeing my probs on this section of the club..sorry! lol I just wonderd how i go about changing the gearbox fluid on my car.. its an early model ..registerd on a 1989 (G) and is a non turbo. think is the fairlady. I heard there is no drain hole on these? its a matter on removing the sump and letting the fluid out? Am i right ? looking at doing this tomorrow so any replies like i said before are much appreicated..thanks everyone for your time!..have a nice evening Matt

Hi Im having really trouble with my 300zx..only brought it 2 weeks ago..firstly gearbox has decided to play up.. im now having another prob... i had it running for a few mins ats its not been used for a day or two and its not misfiring..it ticksover ok but is still missing. ..this misfire just randomly started and not sure why?? The car is very low on fuel could this be anything to do with it? Matt

Hi Ok great cheers for that ..helps alot.. i did check fluid level the otherday and the fluid does look pretty recent ..like cherry colour and quite clean so i dont know if it may have already been tried before i got it? Matt

Hi Ive put up another post about the transmisson prob im having with my zed non turbo. basically its staying only in first gear. Vod...thanks for you other replys and offer of help...is there any chance you could come and give me gearbox a service first..i can get the car to cheltenham and leave it at my mates ..least abit closer?! If theres anyone eles that can give me a hand id much appreiate it as in mot mechanically minded lol. Cheers 4 now Matt

Hi mate Really dont want to sell my car.. i appreciate that offer of you fitting the box for me.. How much was you asking for the gearbox you have? i may be able to get my car towed upto you or aleast nearer to you as i have a friend in cheltenham that can help me. Do you think cleaning the filters,fluids etc work to fix the fault i have? just i have no mechananical knowledge lol. is it something you could do? Cheers Matt

Hi Ive just brought a 1990 300zx non turbo and the autobox has started to play ip now just after a week of buying it!! Basically it is staying in 1st or 2nd gear and there is a belt squeel when putting it in drive that goes when reved. am i looking at a new gearbox or can this be fixed? any advice is much appreicated.. cheers Matt
