ok, so if the auto had better torque due to it having lost torque through the autobox the auto engine with a manual box would be slightly quicker then :confused:

Thats a good point but the thing is that i want to know the differences and why one engine doesn't have the power, as far as i was aware the auto TT was only down on power due to losing it in the autobox its self

mine is already converted from auto to manual, im wondering which engine is bettre as i thought that the auto box was where the power loss was hence they made adjustments to get it up to the same spend as the manual (accelartation that is), so with that in mind would a manual car with an auto engine not be a little better :confused:

just looking at an engine, how can you tell which is which? pics are helpful

I think its either the 0-100 or to 60

So do the different cams give a better torque figure then? But then 0-60/0-100 etc would be pretty much the same anyway?

Auto to manual, Is the engine exactly the same in the 2? And is it then just in the autobow where the power (bhp figures) difference lies :confused: Does anyone know for definate?
