Gran Turismo 5 review coming soon!
As far as I'm concerned, people have waited long enough so they can wait a bit longer. I'm sure they'd rather have the perfect game rather than one where you could say 'this could have done with another months work' etc. Good things come to those who wait!

Leather retrimmed seats.
It always tends to be a re-reg doesn't it, if they're banned immediately after joining (again).

Imagine: A special edition Z32 is getting released next week....
.....and you have won a competition to adapt the design. What changes would you make? I thought this could be a fun thread! You're not limited to existing fenders/spoilers/parts etc, you can let your mind run wild. Now let's have no posts saying 'but it's perfect already.' We all know that isn't true. The minute you change an air filter you're adjusting the basic car so we'd all be guilty in that respect. You can do this in paint or photoshop, or just tell us what you'd do. Steal design ideas from another car? Make your own? If it was up to me (using this pic as an example); - I'd smooth the join just above the petrol cap cover - Smooth the sideskirts into the car much better - Remove the rear spoiler - Elongate the headlights - Put on a 'maranello' sytle hood, like this one; And on the 7th day I would rest.

best stuff for restoring leather?
Is there no edit button on this forum? Not that it's particularly a problem, I just always feel guilty double posting. Regardless, I take back what I said about going professional. The products that Vijay linked to look excellent. Worst case scenario it doesn't work very well, and you've only wasted £20 or whatever. Best case scenario it looks great and you've saved yourself hundreds.

best stuff for restoring leather?
I'm not sure whether any off the shelf products would really do the job given that it's not just cracked, there's patches of colour missing. Your best bet would be to contact a good leather restorer for a quote. Wouldn't be cheap, you might even be able to get shiny new leathers for just a little bit more if you looked hard enough.

cops crash drink drivers evo x
I agree absolutely that the police should be disciplined, as I said in my original post. Had lives been put at risk, or anyone been hurt except one of the idiots that rolled it, then I wouldn't have commented. I'm just saying I have little sympathy. If it had been crashed in normal circumstances then I would feel very sorry for him, but since he's had beyond the allowed limits of alcohol, then put himself behind a 1+ ton performance car, I'm not going to cry about it :whistling:

cops crash drink drivers evo x
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1308798/Joyriding-police-officers-crash-suspects-high-powered-sports-car.html I posted this for you, seems to be some problem with yours. The police were in the wrong to drive the car and should get punished for what they did. However, I feel little sympathy for the Evo owner. IF he was drink driving then I just see this as karma doing its thing ever so brilliantly.

Hi there - a few questions
I think I'm being tempted by its charm. It's a little yellow thing, sat underneath a tree just looking sad. The more I think about it the less practical and worthwhile it becomes. It is a shame that it's just sat there though. I've got no real desire to have a Z31 over a Z32, so I think I'll give this one a miss. The other problem is that I'm 22 and have no prior performance car experience. So far no insurer will touch me. Has anyone got any tips? Certain insurers? There are plenty of people on here who own 300's and are my age - I'd love to know what they've managed without getting a quote of £3000.

and he survived this airbourne crash
That looks excellent. However, some of the comments on the video make a good point. For motorbike accidents it must act like cheese wire. Another point on the video - it says he was thrown from the car. He was either not wearing a seatbelt, or his seatbelt broke.

and he survived this airbourne crash
Oh right, I missed his point. I am actually British, and am of course familiar with the metal barriers you refer to. I have always wondered how strong they are. I suppose generally they don't have to be strong at all, in most motorway accidents the force is fairly parallel to the barrier. Not many people go into them 'head on' at any speed. I've not seen the cable ones, I'll keep an eye out.

and he survived this airbourne crash
Ouch. In regards to the comment about safety barriers, I'm not sure what can be done. It would be HUGELY costly to actually make everything you could possibly crash into 'crash friendly.' It's only speculative and of course he might have had mechanical malfunction etc, but it looks like he was doing 100mph, missed a gap and ended up having to veer to avoid having to slam into the back of the car with the camera in it. 100mph is asking for it on roads with anything but bare minimum traffic density. You can be the best driver in the world but the person who pulls out on you as you're about the blitz past probably isn't. As I said though the problem may be mechanical. Who knows, he may release a statement.

Hi there - a few questions
I understand (I hope) but I have no problems with this being a project car. The fact that he will get 12 months MOT on it before he sells it increases my confidence, as any serious faults will just not pass. I will not even consider the car if it does not get past its MOT.

Hi there - a few questions
Also, I should add that I am aware that typically stripping and repainting is a very expensive job, but through contacts I can get a complete respray done for £600. Please don't ask where, I'm afraid it is a mate who will just do a one-off for me! So the cost of repainting etc isn't so much a consideration.

Hi there - a few questions
Thanks. The car isn't in any magazines or websites etc, it is a car that has been standing for four years! The car is a 1990 Z31, single turbo. I randomly saw it the other day and tracked down the owner. We had a good chat about it and he essentially brought it to his garage to work on (it's his car) and never got round to it. He said that although it's been sat it has been started regularly and runs very well. The paint is extremely damaged and would need to be redone (but that's not a problem for me). Eventually we got talking and the end result is that if I wanted it he will; - Change the cam belt - Put in a new water pump - Replace the front shocks - Get 12 months MOT - I can have it for £1000. What are your initial thoughts?

Hi there - a few questions
Hello everyone. At this point in time I'm not actually a 300zx owner, but chances are I will be very soon. Before I make a purchase I do have several questions, however, some relating to the car I am interested in (i.e. it's value, whether it's worth it etc) and the insurance (of which I am having difficulty finding anyone to back me for a reasonable price). If someone could point me in the right forums for these inquiries I'd be grateful. Cheers, JB.
