if it was an after hours callout then that price is about right, but if the seal between the ballvavle and cistern was leaking it means that it was over flowing (due to worn washer in the valve) and he may have put a new valve in (about £6 from B&Q) then it should have only took about an hour so you should really be looking at around £60

not really sure about what it entails, but its not just zeds that sufer with this every car can suffer with it cheaper fix than tubby though

my tubby seals have gone but it still runs ok and if you keep the revs up a little at te lighs it doesnt smokke at all but yours doesnt sound like tubby seals gone, maybe valve stem oil seals are weeping, do a search and if you get really down about this just take a look at my car in the wide arch progress thread :D and it will pick you and restore your faith in your zed
