make sure its dett sensor failure first, if its actually detting then its running lean somehow, get it to a specialist before you kill the engine, wish i could helo p more but im not too clever with dett and dont know the in's and out's so to speak

deffo detonatin then, dont drive it anymore til sorted, it will kill ya engine quickly, dont even drive and take ya time, get it sorted mate, ive never heard dett thats why i cant comment on the noise, but i do know what damage it does

wouldnt lift the wheels lol, if it jumps off the jacks you will end up with a car on full boost shooting off into whatever its facing lol

but the shaft would rattle more under load would it not?????

baffles are the things that keep things quiet and they sometimes come loose and rattle ablout

maybe the baffles in the exhaust are shot, sounds very much like a possible turbo prob

actually it would yes, so would suggest your noise could be something like a turbo or maybe clutch related, will put me thinking cap on and have another stella and see if i can come up with anything else

maybe a turbo propeller hitting the sides of a turbo, hinting at maybe a loose shaft ooeer lol could also be a timing belt tensioner knacked

mine sounds like a rattle when driving, wasnt till i popped the bonnet that i found the rattle to be a knocking

detonation, possible bottom end rattle, thats how mine sounds at times, pop the bonnet and rev the car slightly to about 3000rpm, then release, do this repeatedly and quickly, if you hear a knocking then its fooked
