the comittee decide who becomes mods and who stays a mod

i feel i do a good job, but a lot of people that have been moderated would think i havent people would get voted in not because they are deemed suitable at being a mod but because they have lots of friends and their friends vote for them

i diont need you to forward anything, ive seen and can see the thread as said it wasnt just one thread, you seem hellbent on having your say and to be honest you know nothing about the ban, only what simon has told you by the way, we have recieved pm's saying this place is better without him, and we have already had people renewing subs due to using the place more in a relaxed enviroment wothout worrying about not getting a screen full of abuse from simon now please let it drop as you clearly have no idea on the whole events leading to the ban of simon

thing is with changing mods all the time it takes some time to get to grips with things, people would just start to get a hang of things then they are being voted out we have just asked recently who would like to become a mod as we had 3 positions to fill and we got very little responce to it, so even if it does go that way who is saying that the mods would change anyway

the thread was removed by mac threads like the one in question are removed so when people are looking around wondering whether to join they arent reading such nasty threads, we are keeping it clean as for the other site, it was started long before they were banned, they were banned for a number of reasons, main ones were breach of the AUP, also some of the things they did and say werent really helping either as for being banned, it is all in the AUP about being banned whether being payed up or not, moderators dont have the final say on bans, it is put to the comitte for vote and discussion, we only do the deed so to speak

that was a warning to the people who dont know how to have a decent discusion and only wanted to cause trouble and used simon as a means to do this this thread has mentioned him quite a lot and no-one has been banned or dealt with, but i bet some members are itching to use this thread to their advantage and cuase mayhem

there isnt much more to the story, anyone who has been on this forum for over a few weeks will have come across simon, and i bet there isnt a person on this thread that hasnt read something from simon and thought "that was a bit too much" dont be fooled into thinking we banned simon just cause his face didnt fit, he was banned for a number of reason and the final straw was a thread that spin doctor started where simon got very personel and nasty towards spin doctor, MAC1 (cluc chairman) dealt with it himself and it was on this that it was disussed about the future of simon and this club, he was banned some time after the event as it was discussed thouroughly by the comittee and decided enough was enough and after a eunamous (sorry spelling lol) vote he was banned

its all here, the reason the threads have been closed over the last couple of days is because a handfull of people took it way beyond a discussion http://300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=40

you see how a thread can be closed just cause one person thinks he knows it all and he feels that its his duty to cause upset and stray off topic this thread ATM is a good thread and hopefully im explaining things as best i can, it will remain open unless it goes so off topic thsat it has to be closed

that one thread was the last straw

talking about it isnt the problem, its certain individuals that ruin the thread by using it for their own personal vendetta, we know that any thread directed towards the whole simon situation will only end in one way so to stop all the silly comments the threads are closed swiftly you know, simon doesnt do any favours, he had changed a pic on his photobucket to something anti club and got tonyb to bump the thread quoting the pic, it was swiftly removed but this is si all over, he is banned, he tells people that it was unjust then he goes and does something stupic like that:no:

exactly mate, you seen "ONE" thread, maybe if you were round a bit more you would have seen all the others you say your not very active but as soon as you see a thread like this you jump on it without even knowing all the facts
-
A subjective view on moderation
not really mate, i like you and your views but someone will see this thread as a way of causing trouble for their own satisfaction, i could probably pre guess the people to do this aswell
-
A subjective view on moderation
to be honest mate, its between simon and the comittee, if he wishes to tell people only part of the story then that is upto him im not going to go into detail about the whole saga

you can doubt all you like, he was givenm chance after chance and threw them in the faces of those that gave them, i have no reason to make anything up
-
A subjective view on moderation
you only know what simon has wanted you to know, there is a lot more to it than just calling someone a moron, we were getting complaints on a daily basis, some from people he would class as friends
-
A subjective view on moderation
not a problem mate, but i fear its only a matter of time till someone anti mod or comittee come along and ruin what could be a good discussion thread
