  4. I'm off work, Zed's still in bits too though. but may be tempted for a run out in the Jag.
  5. I was getting ridiculous quotes when I got mine refurbed, noody wanted to split them, an to get them polished would of been cheaper to get a new set of rims. In the end I found a bloke near me, he couldn't polish them, but I was guna get the lip powder coated shadow chrome, and the middle either a silver or grey. ut it turned out they were welded at the split. so just got them all powder coated shadow chrome. Don't think they look too bad for £180
  6. Very sad to hear this. Thought's to you and your family.
  7. Thanks guys. I was looking at the German equivilants but they're just not as nice inside, plus this is faster than most. It's a 3.0l D S, so its 272BHP and 600NM... As I said in sport mode it's a ****ing animal, and the flappy paddel gear change is quite fun. Plus it's Brittish So that's always good. I was tempted to Plasti dip it Brittish racing Green and cruise around hunting ze Germans!!
  8. Well it took long enough, but I finally have some pictures. . It is a bit of an animal in sport mode, and the dyanamic mode for the suspension tightens it up a lot. Still little back end happy in the wet too, although no where near as bad as the zed. Took a while to find one without the horrible wood veneer and without beige seats, but it was definitely worth waiting. can't wait to start modding it, just as soon as the zeds back on the road.
  9. Indeed I was, managed to keep your rear in view the whole time though. nearly pulled in on an A4 when I saw you turning off, need to remember the jag's a little bigger than the civic.
  10. So I decided to treat my self to a new daily, my civic was slowly deteriorating and I figured I deserved something a it special seen as the z is still off the road. Managed to get a good deal on a Jaguar xfS (I'll upload some pics when I take some) Took the two hour drive yesterday to pic it up and on my way home I believe somewhere on the M1, look in my rear view mirror to be greeted with the similar sight of some zed headlights cruising up the outside lane. Turns out it was TonyB, and what a lovely looking example it is, got my mate to take a couple of pictures as we passed. Wasn't expecting you to recognise me in the jag, plus my hairs grown a lot since we last met.
  11. Cheers noel, I figured I'd need 2 lambda's. And the car hasn't had a working knock since I've owned it but for £65 with a new harness I thought 'what the hell' but wasn't aware there were other means for detecting knock. I'll leave that for now then. Am I missing anything else though? I'll get a new timing belt too, but that was changed by Jeff last year. Need to check with him if he changed the water pump too. Was guna get the turbo's reconned and do the plenum water bypass too.
  12. So I'm finally going to start work on getting the zed back on the road, I've decided the best way to tackle the mystery problem I have is to just pull the engine and rebuild it. I'm not seeking big power, I was hoping with a remap from Noz 400BHP. Should be more than enough. As it happens I'm going to New York sometime in the near future so was hoping to take advantage of that and buy some bits from Z1 and then bring them back in my case, avoiding postage and customs costs. (already spoke to the hotel and to Z1, both parties don't see a problem with this) I've made a quick wishlist but I could be missing something, what do you think? Also I'm not exactly sure of the history of the car, there were some questionable mods fitted when I first got it so I'm not sure what's inside the engine, so was maybe thinking of waiting till it's in bits before ordering the engine bearings or piston rings. As always any input is greatly appreciated.
  13. No chance, Think that'll be on for a while, broken car or not...
  14. That's the one now sitting on my drive looking sorry for itself. I'd seen a couple on the Ausi site when I was looking for one, but once again postage was the issue for me.
  15. Looking Good Si, I was tempted by the Insignia, looking at replacing my daily in the new year. I keep seeing Insignias around and thinking they look nice (after swearing I'd never own a Vauxsausage ) Think the later better looking model is a lil out my price range, currently a Jag XF is the leading contender but I'm yet to drive a 3 series and a couple of Audi examples.

My mate wants a z32 MAF for his S13, apparently there a better part. anybody got a good spare?
  17. Welcome to the club bud. good to see another member in the North East. Looks like a clean example.
  18. I may be a little late here, but I wouldn't see a problem with running it off the shower if it was fused, you could just get an inline fuse holder from maplins or somewhere (or 2 to fuse both lives) and you could proably fit them in the shower pullcord along with your 1.5 3core and earth. I'm imagining a big deep 30mm white plastic box for the shower pull cord. if it's not then you may struggle to fit them in, but I'd just then fit the inline fuses and tape them up all nice and just push them into the loft above. It'd annoy me to death if I could hear the fan from the bedroom on a night, just nip in for a quick wee then can't get back to sleep for 20mins.
