  2. The two plugs are different
  3. I've finally got round to fitting my replacement wing mirror but i need a bit of help wiring it up. The problem is the old wing mirror had a 7 pin plug and the new has a 5 pin plug (old was heated, new isnt) I've taken a pic of the plugs and wires, can anyone tell me which wires need to be joined together because i have no idea :p

Hey, sorry guys havnt checked the thread for a while Well done Draxan, you've done more than i could have on my own :) My new engines running well, covered 300 miles so far, then ran out of money for petrol :p Good to have her back on the road though. Keeping her at mine now since keeping it on my sisters drive (where i thought it would be safe) resulted in a series of little red dings down the side from her car doors :glare: :glare: :glare:

  10. I'm doing an engine transplant today and urgently require an engine crane. Mark (MarkDerby) has one, but he has to try squeeze it into his zed when he comes to help today, if there is anybody who either has and engine crane they can move easily OR a vehicle large enough to help Mark with his crane in Derby it would be very much appreciated!   17. The old engine already has had a water bypass so was going to get rid of them altogether on the new engine, was also going to see what else i didnt need while its in bits :) Even if you could come down just for a bit of a natter, it would be handy to have some guidance and idea's ;)

  19. The quicker the better, I need my zed back!! Thinking about it, if I am done with time to spare, I have the ramp as long as I want for Saturday and Sunday so I see no reason why we couldn't get another car on after mine if someone has something needing attention ;)

  22. He opens at 9am and said he can stay open as late as i need up to midnight. If we want we can order food to the garage, there's tea and coffee on tap and James, the owner, is a really nice guy and said he and his colleague would be there to help too.
  23. When you say remove the gear box, do you mean removed it from the car completely or just detach it from the engine? I was hoping it would be easy enough to just leave the gear box where it is and detach it from the engine

  25. I wont be able to make the meet now guys. I have the weekend booked off work and i will be using it to do my engine swap on Saturday and Sunday.
