Wheel specs are; 18x 10.5 et-6 18x 12 et 0. So I think I'll have to trial them on my car just because.

Hi guys. I managed to pick up a spares car. This car was actually imported with my blue car originally so it's nice to have them back in the same stable. It's actually reasonable tidy but I want the subframes & interior bits from it. The engine slipped a tooth so I'm hoping to either save it or use it for spares.

Unfortunately I bought the car with the engine partially stripped. The belt was already cut off. Luckily it came with a complete belt & tensioner kit. As it's part stripped should I just pull the heads off & have a look?

I've bought another Gloria for parts but the cambelt had slipped a tooth at idle. Is the engine a tolerance engine with clearance between the piston & valves or will it more than likely have bent a valve? What other damage could it have done?

Cheers for the reply. I read up about matching parts between turbo & n/a. I've found a complete car in Manchester for parts but it would cost me as much to get it back as it's worth.

Sourcing parts for my car.
I have the Nissan Gloria & I want to source parts to convert it to manual. I have the pedals & the clutch cylinder from my old skyline & from my old nissan 200sx. These are basically the same but I'm after all the mechanical parts. Can you guys recommend & breaker or a forum member that could help with the gearbox, prop, clutch etc? Any help would be appreciated.

Did a bit of digging on the car & found it has an aftermarket or chipped ecu unsure which but it's labelled impul. I'd like to start a build thread but unsure what seems to to add it too?- Identify this diaghram
This is on my vg30det engine. I'm sorting the engine bay & reducing all the vac lines etc. This metal diaphram is on the back of the plenum near the bulkhead. There is a vacuum 'container' on the inner wing & a electric solenoid by the air filter. As I was uncertain of its role. I have removed the vac line from it leaving the diagram to atmosphere, blanked the hose going to it & removed the plug from the electric solenoid. I have taken the car for a hard drive & it has made no difference to the performance. If anyone knows it's job please help or I'll remove it all to clear space in the bay.- Not strictly a Z, new to the forum.

Ah sorry. It's an odd set up. The turbo is on the passenger side manifold that leads to an elbow,then a downpipe. On this pipe is a T piece. On the drivers side is a manifold with a downpipe that runs round the back of the engine & over the gearbox bellhousing to the T piece on the passenger side. I'll try & get some pics next time it's in the air.- Not strictly a Z, new to the forum.
There is a bit of room between the turbo & the chassis so I'd like to have a topmount set up eventually with upgraded injectors, wide band afm & link ecu.- Not strictly a Z, new to the forum.
The manifold has 2 throttle bodies exiting to the side. The original bov was cut off & the intercooler piped in to that position. I plan on changing that up for a neater design. This is mine when I 1st bought the car. I have tidied it up a lot since then.- Not strictly a Z, new to the forum.

Hi all. Thought I'd drop in & introduce myself. I have a 1992 Nissan Gloria Y32 Gran Turismo. It has the VG30DET engine & an auto gearbox. From what I have researched the chassis has a lot of the same components as the 300zx. The car is very distinctive in that it has a full junction produce bodykit & a Eurospec conversion fitted by a company in Japan called IMC. The car was imported back in 2007 & I am only the 2nd UK owner. The car sits on Custom Bilstein coilovers & Intensive Hunk alloys measuring 18x9 et10 & 18x10 et-3. I have so far fitted bride reclining seats on homemade seat rails & a nardi dished wheel with Driftworks snap off boss. I intend on pulling the engine & box to convert the car to a manual set up & rebuild the engine. It currently has the standard T3 turbo with CUSTOM intercooler pipework with a blitz core & an Apexi filter. I have removed loads of unnecessary vacuum lines & plan on removing the breather system with a catch can. - Not strictly a Z, new to the forum.
