  3. Hi Have all marks on cam lined up and marks on crank pulley lined up. Not sure whether crank pulley is on compression stroke(TDC) or exhaust stroke. May try and rig up airline and see if its holds pressure which if i`m correct should be tdc, colin

  5. Hi All Having recently been unfortunate to have a broken bolt on tensioner pulley. Have stripped down and replaced bolt, how do I confirm that the crank is on TDC . Have read lots of guides http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?135139-Align-timing-belt&highlight=cambelt Cambelt is back on but as i know the engine was turned over with the belt loose not sure whether crank is on TDC or not? Is there any simple way of confirming? Thanks Colin
  6. Hi Jeff Thanks for the reply. Will try and get broken bolt out at the weekend. One more question, i can align the cams back up but how can i tell whether the crank is on TDC, i can align the mark but not sure what stroke it would be on?? Have read lots of guides online including your one herehttp://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?135139-Align-timing-belt&highlight=cambelt but all of the ones I have seen are just replacement without the engine having moved . Thanks Colin
  7. Hi All My 300zx tt auto had an undignified ride home last week on the back of a recovery truck. Upon investigation the conzult told me no signal from CAS. Cleaned connection tried another CAS still no go. Been out there today, stripped front down and found bolt holding tensioner pulley sheared off :( Whats the chances of no damage???, should i be hopeful or is it time to say goodbye. Before i move any pulleys is there any sequence/order i should move them in order to get them back in alignment? Will try and get another tensioner and do a compression check keeping fingers crossed. Was running really well until then. Colin
  8. Try btjunkie or isohunt. Both up and working when i checked. Colin

  13. Hi Got the conzult cable out, connected it to my "zx", no red and green led coming on with the ignition?? Has anyone got a wiring diagram for the ddl connector. have looked and cant find one. :no:Would be nice to trace the wires back. Have got no warning lights coming on with ignition apart from alternator light, was hoping that was the bulb check relay, which I havent checked yet. I know its behind the fuse box in the drivers footwell. Any other suggestions what i can check? Thanks Colin

  18. Hi Been looking for a 300zx for ages, saw a couple of wrecks then thought i found a really nice one. Heart ruled head a bit and bought it.:oops: Its a 91 jap import tt auto. Body is very clean and original. Had a hesitation when drove home, eventually found fault to be dirty tps connector. Drives well now i think? Nothing to compare with lol. Got couple of faults to sort out, fan for blower not working.:helpsmilie: Next confusing one, only got battery light come on with ignition, no a/t or any other warning lights.:helpsmilie: I dont think the overdrive works as nothing happens when driving, only uses 3 gears, o/d button on or off? Glad i joined this elite group.:thumbup1: Will probably have to get another one with lots of goodies already on. Regards Colin
  19. Hi Mikael Can i ask where you ordered them from, did you have to pay any duty when they arrived? Regards Colin:thumbup1:
