  4. If you lower the rating of the garage socket supply it should break first, but you never know!!! I am a electrical service engineer, so i dont get involved with supply very offen. but i will check the regs to see if you could cahange the mcb you have to a Class C which has a longer trip time to allow for motor start up, this is what is spec on equipment that uses large motor current on start up.
  5. Anybody blushing or need a trumpet yet
  6. A and BBC watchdog!!!
  7. Think you will find its the startup load doing it. if the tranny was faulty the rcb would go out due to earth or neutral leakage, but try that by all means.
  8. Just to stop the diyers from electrocuting everbody! would have to look up specs for underground laying. and remeber the new colour codes are in operation as well!
  9. Then you are FOOcEd unless you change the feed cable to the garage and up rate the breaker, you could turn the feed into a ring circuit and change to a 32amp breaker. REMEMBER all electrical majior works must conforme to building regs as of 1-01-2005
  10. Is the 16a breaker on the house dist board or in the garage?
  11. New pants required!!!! as sound was right up
  12. Surge of tranny starting up takes MCB out. This is common,as the current consummed on start up can be double/three times of the running consumtion. dont worry.

  22. Spacers may bring the wheel on to the arch when cornering, or bottoming out the suspension. the idea of grinding the area where the caliper hits is not too far from the answer than you think depending on how much the difference is, if we are talking just a small amount why not considder having them turned properley by an engineering co? This ia only an answer if we wre talking 1/8" or so. Also the cost woutd have to be economic to the price of the wheels! ATB Allan
