irish medic

Lads, Finally got the fuel pump back into the car. Charged up the battery because it was dead. Put 20 quids worth of petrol in & still it won't start. Keeps turning over & over but not firing. Have read various posts on the forum but I can't hear the pump priming at all. What else do I need to check. Car has been laid up for awhile if that's any help Thanks :)

Cheers lads, found the o ring :oops:, got two new hose clips so will put them on after I've had food :)

Hi Lads, First of many questions I guess. Finally started on the road to getting the 300 up & running. In relation to the fuel pump. Is there supposed to be an o ring or gasket or something between the fuel pump & the body of the car. Also the two hoses connecting onto the pump, are they held in place by hose clips?. All help gratefully received. ps Have looked in the FAQ section but to no avail :cool3:

Thanks for the welcome guys. Knew the previous owner of the car. Assures me it was running perfectly. Took a good look at the car yesterday. Needs the fuel pump put back in. Have valeted the inside. Weather was good over here. Outside the paint work needs to be tcutted on the bonnet but overall is good. What does concern me is there seems to be some bolts missing in the engine bay. They appear to hold down small black connectors/blocks on the top of the engine. Probably not describing them right but would guess 16 bolts !

Hi, Just got myself a 1993 Nissan 300zx TT. Needs a bit of work before it can go on the road. Have spent the last week looking at the FAQ section to familarise myself with how to do some of the work. Car has been lying out in the open for the last yr or thereabouts. Nice red colour with the quad exhaust & is a manual gearbox. Will try & get pictures up soon. Just wanted to keep to the forum etiquette & say hi
