do you have another, cd rom in use in the tower, ,, am guessing the noise your hearing is coming through the speakers???,, or is from the cdrom itself?? need more input , input,, ,,lolif you do have another cd rom installed ,try a disk on that one , if same problem then its a soundcard issue, ps dont throw it away , allways try installing updated driver for it first, or reinstall driver for it

try reinstalling graphics card driver ,, this happened to me in the past , evry time i installed a new program, icons all over the place, i did a update on graphics card driver and its bin fine scince... goto the scource , ie if its nvidia, go to there website , if its radeon go to theres , ,

at the risk of sounding like a wazzzock, i would guess at keeping the oil in , as ive read posts in the past somewhere , that there was abatch of these not sealing properly, , when done up , ie they leak oil , any clues has any one bought these and had any probs??
