  2. That is the one on flea bay ! Its 2 mins from me ... might just have a look see then.... but if i cant get it sorted and need a new box i was thinking its worth no more than 1k at best???
  3. OH OHHHHHHH!!! I swore :asshole::shifty: ha ha ha I would rather have a well sorted zed than a $&pra tbh.... more for your money and in my opinion if well sorted and tuned keep up/kick its ass
  4. Sorry for all the noob questions.... what costs are involved in converting the auto to the manual? and has the auto box got a manual mode like the supra??
  5. Thanks welder-sparx how much are they second hand then?? Is the torque convertor the same for all models? And is it a common problem...And what does it actually do? Would it cause complete loss of drive though?? Dont know enough about the zed transmission tbh
  6. Hi all I am thinking of taking a punt on a motor near me .... a Z32 TT auto... however .. and i quote from the ad ... let us know what you Zed guru's think......im thinking goosed auto box??? poss clutch too??? "While out for a drive on Sunday Car lost drive in all gears including reverse, I checked the fluid level and it was correct and still spotlesly clean, so I can only assume the torque converter has failed, unless there is some electronic related problem that can cause this symptom. It does creep along slowly but there is more slip than drive.I have not the time or money to fix the car right now but will next year if she doesn't sell. This fairlady is very near immaculate condition and is well worth repairing, it should be a fairly straight forward repair as torque converter is around £200.00 and prior to brake down all gears changed perfectly smooth. I had a mechanic friend of mine look at car today and he has said the needle roller bearings will have failed in torque converter as there is a whining noise coming from bell housing, so will need new or recon torque converter and possibly flex plate." Apart from that :biggrin: its immaculate ... full leather .... no rust ..... new tyres on oem wheels ... i would change these tbh .... even got original tool kit and service book with it Is it a risk worth taking if its cheap :punk:??
