  5. Sorry was on the iphone replying, its AIV's heres how to remove them properly, but you do not acctually have to go this far http://forums.nicoclub.com/how-to-delete-your-aiv-s-90-300zx-n-a-t473354.html The AIV's are intended to help reduce emissions. They help move air, from the manafold to the exhaust and try to help reduce the emissions that are coming from your tail pipe. But if your modifying your exhaust, you pretty much make the system redundant, and mine still passed the MOT emissions test with out it. also will get rid of a annoying gurgling sound later on, if you don't already have it that comes from your front wings (don't ask) The system only works when the car is idling.
  6. Going for the rat look?
  7. Avi pipes you can delete them so no biggy
  8. You would have to speak to MJP about that bud. as not sure on costs my self.
  9. bit of T-Cut and that will polish right out matey. MJP sells the panels, can be repaired so depends how much the car means to you to be honest mate.
  10. np matey, they are in the garage, kept them as i wasn't sure if they would come in handy for something lol. Not sure what your going to do about the wiring though. as i binned it.
  11. i already do :scared:
  12. Rear drivers side hicas arm had substantial play at the ball joint, but luckily the opposite side to the hub, the lights you speak off are no longer on the car as they came off when i removed the 89 spec front bumper and replaced it with the 99spec last year, all the wiring has been removed for them so no longer clutters up the engine bay, the side lights are what he said where blue, kinda annoying as they are LED's so unless i had blue LED bulbs in, there is no way they would appear anything other than white. need to get the car back on the road asap, so i can get back to work matey. im sure you understand. Hows your gear box coming along? any more news? also, get me some good photos of your new car, so i can add them to my next 300zx movie.
  13. Im sure we have a member on here with a general lee, or was that KITT from knight rider
  14. he said they were blue, im not sure how he came to that conclustion as they are LED lights and dont work on heat like HIDs do
  15. This is how i did it. Uncover the ABS pump in the boot on the drivers side wheel arch cover. Jack car up on all 4 corners Take wheels off Take some air bubble tubing (for a fish tank) and place it over the bleed nipple on all 4 calipers, and both bleed nipples on the ABS unit. Having someone pump the brakes while you top up the brake fluid helps, use a empty container and feed the excess fluid from the air bubble tubing, with the air bubble tubing, you will clearly see the air, once the tube is pumping air free fluid, do the nipple up. I bleed them in this order. Bleed the ABS Bleed the rear brakes Bleed the front brakes Bleed the ABS again Check, if all is ok, the peddle should stiffen up every time. if there is still air in the system, it will feel soft and spongy. ive heard rumors that you should do it, passenger side, drivers side fronts, the rear drivers, rear passenger side, then the ABS unit. but when i did that i found that i still had plenty of air in the system.
  16. Well just been sorting out that rear hicas arm, what a ball ache of a job. not one id like to be doing again. and now my rear wheel is in serious need of some tracking. and who's idea was it to give the tracking arm of that hicas thingymabob a 11mm hex for a spanner. rear number plate illumination has now been sorted out, had to swap over a bulb holder over from my breaker in the end as the copper contacts fell out. and just swapped over my led side lights, for some standard ones :( but i think i know why he is saying they where blue. my fog light halogens have a blue coating on them grrrrr. just wait till i take this thing back to the MOT station, im going to be having some serious words. anyway, the rear wheel is now solid and doesnt move anywhere, the number plate lights up, and my side lights are now yellow instead of white. roll on Tuesday so i can get this MOT cert.
  17. Thats called needing glasses lol. Dyslexia is when you have trouble spelling or reading words. sometimes its mild, other cases it can be quite bad. i had a ex who couldn't read a book very well, she would struggle to read the words off the page in a uniformed way, wasn't that she couldn't understand the words, far from it, but mainly due to how she processed them into a sentence, she had to slow her reading down, kinda miss her to be honest, used to love having a good excuse to read a book to her lol
  18. would depend what your using, i suffer with dyslexia, i use IE 9 and i don't get any wiggly lines under my miss spelled words, though i do use google spell checker for it as its built into my tool bar, handy as hardly anyone can tell. Annoyingly, i have trouble with smaller words, rather than the bigger ones, strange.
  19. That just made my head hurt :crying:
  20. Your more than welcome to donate it too me, and ill do it lol. my living room is huge considering im in a flat, just wouldnt want to get it up the stairs.
  21. Well, my car just flew through the emissions test on a decat test, on Monday. the guy did try testing as a cat car, but i told him its pre 92, so didnt need them, and said it came from japan like that. he then ran the plates on his machine and had to retest the emissions as non catalytic converter. Co % Max Limit 3.500, my actual value 1.314 (and that was with the meter up a pipe with a misfire on idle) HC ppm vol: Max Limit 1200, my actual value 362 So it was a pass. well chuffed.
  22. that wont stop it starting, might be flooded. You say you have cleaned the PTU connections, double check to make sure the plugs are seated correctly. Also, get someone to sit in the drivers seat, get your head down at the rear drivers side wheel then get them to turn the key to the acc position, you should hear the fuel pump engage, if not might be that. Also, check the fuel pump fuse in the small fuse box under the bonnet, its rated 30amp. Did you just clean the CAS plug on the loom, or did you remove it and then refit it, could be the timing is out if you took it off and havent put it back in the correct position.
  23. He should of added "some assembly required"
  24. AH3 there isn't enough burgundy ones about.......actually scrap that, me and Andy Isherwood, daffy and JeffTT can stay relatively safe in the knowledge that we are a rare car color breed. gray looks good.
