just want to thank everyone who offered advise on my gearbox problem, as my wife is in hospital i thought my fellow friendly users might have offered to help, but i would'nt have thought not using this site for a while would have warented no responce, but i was sadly mistaken. i thought it was for 300 users like myself, but it seems i was wrong. mocox.

hello everybody long time no troble till now my z had to sit for a week i changed plugs fuel fillter went for a drive she is auto got a bit of free road so let her at it she hit the rev limiter and wouldnt change gear try a few times any ideas :bow:

yes you are right some a--hole had the car wired up wrong but thanks to pictures i was sent i got i sorted ps i only have the car 7 weeks thats why im asking so many questions i know nothing about these cars i used to have rover 220 turbo before big step up :headvswal

no mate but it is in the picture. as you look at picture top left it has a black red wires with a white gausey /clothey material insolating it

ok when i did a manual check on ecu it showed fault number 34. i was told it was the knock sensor .i was told i could bypass with 1meg resistor so i tried and it not make a difference , i though i might have put it in the wrong connettor so i tried a different one and the car ran perfact .i traced the lead back and it goes to what i think is a sesor at the back of the head on right hand side
