That does include a manual gearbox conversion and all the upgraded bits for the rebuild and upgraded turbos

Oh my gosh :shock: just been quoted around 6k for engine rebuild and new turbos :cry: So whats the best bet guys. Bite the bullet and get her totally rebuilt, converted to manual, and new uprated tubs. Surely to god if i do it there cannot be that much more can go wrong ????

Maybee it is the decat but i cant see the amount of smoke it is making now being dispursed by the cats. Have read all the blurb re turbos seals going etc and spoke to zedworld and chris greddy and opions sounds like it isnt the turbos. Went out again today and no smoke again until engine hot and doing 50+ as before. Also turned her of with out using the timer and started her again and puff of blue smoke again. Someone must have a clue ?

MM not sure iwould agree, i can piont you to several products that in the UK are 3 and 4 times more expensive than the US. Now even with the stamp dutys etc there is no justification for a 4 fold increase. Some products are readily available from a well known auction site from reputable companies and it would not suprsie me one bit if half the stuff available in the UK does not come form there. Most of the time they do not pay import duty anyway because as you say they only order one at a time and it "slips through" customes. How do i know this, wel i been there done that and all the VAT Duty etc is often overlooked if it only a small amount of items. I see your point but i stand by what i say, in th UK we get shafted simple as that, and i am sure that if i were to put a poll up that a lot of the Zed owners would agree that a large amount of the goods on offer over here are quite simply overpriced and you could argue that some are profeteering from there connection with the owners club ?
