  1. Im interested in a car Clicky which looks good on paper. I've chatted to the owner, he seems like a straight up guy, etc, etc. He informs me that the only current issue with the car, aside from a couple of rust bubbles, is that the overdrive currently isnt working. More specifically, gears 1-3 are fine, but it wont go into fourth. He doesnt recommend I drive it up motorways or A roads accordingly. He knows a guy who works for a transmission specialist who can supposedly fix it for £150-200 who he says would do a very good job. Has anyone experienced this problem before? Does the price sound reasonable (for the fix job)? He says he'll take me to his local track to test the car out, so he cant be hiding any performance related issues, I would have thought. Ideas appreciated Alex
  2. Ill be sure to check them out. Thanks for the tip.
  3. Ok Im exaggerating slightly. A quote from Admiral (who quote me happiest on EVERY car not just 300s) for a JDM N/A was £1200 and for a UK TT was 750ish. Its a big difference, im sure you'll agree. If there was no difference id probably have snapped up the Yellow NA in Norfolk I posted a week or so ago! Hate the lights too. Unnecessary mod!
  4. Haha, nuff said. On a more sensible note I HAVE to get a UK spec for insurance reasons. J specs are *literally* double to insure, for me. Are they more likely to rust?
  5. I also noticed the Mustang!! A different kettle of fish however :D
  6. Hello again guys! Thoughts on the below? Partial service history inc Cambelt change at 112k. Clicky With Z's is it pretty much always a case of going to have a look at the general condition? This guy lives in West Sussex which is over 3 hours from me! Cheers Alex:D
  7. Interesting. I have no experience of imports until I got into the idea of getting a Z in the last couple of months. Is there any kind of Import buying guide on this forum? Whats JDM, by the way??
  8. Hi guys, Have a look at this: Clicky The guy seems keen to sell it and it reads well on paper. I just wondered whether the mileage was TOO low? Perhaps it hasnt been used enough for parts to have kept ticking over? Am a bit of a n00b, apologies if the question reads that way! Cheers!
  9. Hey all, Thanks to the people who have already given me some tips on another thread. Im in Lincoln and am upgrading from my Kia Rio Im trying to get my first Z and am looking for a UK TT T-Top for up to £3k. If anyone is selling let me know! Thanks again for the advice so far Alex
  10. Sounds encouraging, guys. Suffolk, ive sent the guy a message to find out where he is exactly. Appreciate the help so far! Alex
  11. Hi guys, Appreciate the help as Id love to become a fellow Z owner! What are you opinions on this: Clicky It looks very clean and the only issues sound minor and cosmetic. Does anyone know the car? Its a way from me (>100m) so Id like to feel I had a good reason to go! Any tips/initial thoughts appreciated Alex
