I was referring to the time straight after impact BEFORE emergencies arrive. If a member of the public was concerned about fire/smoke , even if someone was brave enough to jump in after a submerged car, they wouldn't be able to get the doors open wide enough to get anyone out.I've just done an experiment outside and the doors wont open any further than 6 inches. I think it's a valid point , and something nissan should have thought through a bit more.chewie chewie. did think the reply was abit harsh for mowgs. but know what you mean. these cars are pretty inaccessable when the both belts are on. nissan did change this on the series two and moved them to the b post. it's not something the general public come accross ervey day,nor do we thankfully. so yeah good point. we would have to pop the back quater window as not to shower the casualty in glass to gain entry to cut the belt to open the door. srrae i know what you mean mate. but this one was abit close to home, not easy to think like that when it was only last week i was having a beer with him. not the best of last memories of seeing him. it's easier if you don't know them, but even then kicks abit

pretty sure that if the passenger is under the age of 16 then it is the driver that is fined for the offence. over then it's the passenger that pay's up. i will not move even if the rear passenger aint got his/her belt on. a person weighing 120Kg moving at 40 mile an hour will weigh about 1/2 a ton if you stop dead ie: brick wall or head on. but head on you got the speed of the other car aswell. so you could be looking at a 120 mile an hour stop. i dont fancy my chance's of about a ton 1/2 slapping me around the back for the head. do you mowgs no what you mean about parents that are nicely strapped in the front with young children bouncing around in the back - c*nts need a reality check. really p1ss's me of to it's about time that all the money they get from speeding tickets etc was used to wake people up. get some good ad's on tv like the lads in the car with the pizza. and the drink driving one where they followed them into the A&E resuss room. if it upset's people seeing that then tuff. it must be making then think. far better to see on tv and make them think than have your family and loved one's see you on a slab

belive me the seat belt is no problem to us we take roofs off doors off even rear passenger pannals can be removed to gain entry to a vehicle. we do carry some brilliant kit. to set your mind at rest when we turn up to a rta we have a method to go though. once we work out what were going too or needed to do. then glass management is one of the first things we deal with. remove all glass that will be in our way taking care not to get any on the casuatly's inside, at the same time the belts are cut on any car. we would rather take 10 seconds and cut allthe seat belts and get you out alive than what we delt with last night. this happened within 3/4 mile for where he set off from. we will get you out dont worry about that. BELT UP yuo would'nt dream of driving with off with out your loved one's belted in

i dont want to prech to anybody on here, but please when you get in your cars just stick that seat belt on. just been to an R.T.A. an it was a local lad only 25. really top lad which i know personally, not sure what happened exactally. but some how he left the road bounced off a hedge and rolled the car onto it's roof. the car was not badly damaged at all, front windscreen and two front windows smashed with not alot of speed involved but he is no longer with us. we tried for a good 40 mins with the paramedic's to revive him but to no gain. it only takes 5 seconds to put it on. and doing this would of almost sertainatlly saved his live and the pain of his family and friends that they will go though. so please just strap up.

What made you get a zed?
saw one in a nissan garage when me and my dad went to pick up my mum's new micra, they'd only been on sale in the uk for 2weeks.. so you can guess where i was while dad was signing the paper work, when we got home i said "i'm gona av one of them". and many years on finally got one. the only reget is that the only time i got my dad in it was when we took his ashes to scarbough. so he's in my thoughts regually when i drive it. oh and they look great and are fast as fook
