the stero needs aconvertor thing which is put in line with the arial which lets you got the other signals. the heating is not powered by air con belt unless air con is turn on. where in shropshire are you mate, i'm shrewsbury area

the O2 sensors can be tested via the ecu when the engine is running. by turning the screw on the ecu, can't remeber exactly how to do it but have done it on my auto before. thanks for replies

thanks rodders. yeah i no that a 55 is the code that we all look for, but after a flat battery i.e. same as disconnecting the battery to clear the memory how quick does the ecu test everything again to give a true code reading of any possible faults. oh i'd do a O2 sensor check when running too.

could be going to look at a new zed very soon, but it's been stood for a while, so what do i do 1st. comprssion test, Ecu test, but it's prob got flat battery so will be code55 :confused: . if i get the car started how quick will the codes come up if theres any fault codes at all.?? For the compression test do i do it with a cold engine, do i disconect the injectors before starting, and if so how do i do that?. which other check can i do if any. It's manual if that make a diff not sure if theres a check for man gear box like you can do on the auto. thanks graeme
