Only guessing mate, can't see a lot from the pics-but the metal tank your referring to aint' the sump is it?-if the 'cogs' are the pulleys then I take it the leaks at the front of the engine? If yes to the above,could be the 'usual' suspects,i.e. water pump,the short hoses from the block to the water pipes, metal spigots these hoses fit to,or even the t/stat housing.
