Well theres one thing to bear in mind here - YOU followed someones advise and YOUR engine went bang - that was YOUR choice to make. Same goes for the guy following MY advise - it was HIS choice to make - so can we agree to disagree and put this to bed ?

Well Im not a mechanic but I have done amateur motor racing , built maintained it - stripped and rebuilt a few engines in my time too - and owned over 50 cars - mostly high power and prestige so on occcasion I do know what Im talking about. I wouldnt advise anyone to do anything I wouldnt do myself and always give advise based on information given. If the symptoms were anything else I probably WOULDNT have said to him to take the car a blast but to a layman it was obvious what would fix it.

I would give it a good blast along the motorway - if its only went 5 mins the oil wont have reached temperature and as its sat for a week might take more than 5 mins to get cold oil through all the necessary points.

Hi all sorry if this has been raised loads of times but im new :x: Getting a seat of my pants vibration @40mph - have read somewehere its propshaft related ? If so is there a cheap and easy DIY fix ? Cheers :confused:

Hmmmmmmm Im thinking you could spray a set of OEM alloys - I think they would turn out really well that paint is awesome !!

Long term that may be the fix - - - but short term id rather just try and change insurers.

Im having some issues with my current 'new' insurer regarding security on the car. I have a Cat2 immobiliser fitted and have scanned and emailed them a copy of the VSIB Installation certificate. BUT , they are also wanting confirmation of any alarm system that may be fitted. As far as I know the aftermarket system I have is Cat2 immobiliser only - does anyone know if there will be a factory fitted alarm installed ? The cars a 1994 Series III - Jspec N\A. If I cant prove further security they are wanting to terminate my policy :cry:
