  1. Wirral, Merseyside. 1993 jap TT
  2. Thanks very much, its the larger black one on its own that im having trouble with. Its quite thick (6mm o/d). Ill try that now.
  3. pulled the engine on my 1990 auto TT a few weeks ago and have only just got round to re-fitting it. Everything is all plumbed in fine apart from the alternator. I have forgot how the wires go. I have a small metal thingy with a wire coming off with a hoop electrical terminal on the end, two other wires with hoops on the end and an electrical connection with some other wires in. Now i know the electrical connection goes into the alt (only place it can go), but where do the others go? If possible, does anyone have any pictures of it? Thanks
  4. As above, i am thinking of racing my z and want to know if there is a class of racing or is it just one off track days? Also, if there is, does anyone here race? I want tyo know before i rip my car apart and cage the s**t out of it!
  5. Well i have it wrong then, this is flopping around like a D**k in a top hat. I may take the front off the box and check the oil pump drive does fit the converter, just incase i have the wrong box.
  6. pretty sure. It just seems like its too loose. Should it be a snug fit or does it have play?
  7. Hi guys (and girls if any) Just got a replacement gearbox for the 300 and i'm having a hell of a time trying to get the torque converter in. It may be just me but i am not happy with it when i put it on the gearbox. It feels like it doesn't go in far enough. I have around 25mm from the mounting studs to the face of the bellhousing but it just feels like its flopping a bit too much side to side. When its fitted to the box, should it be pretty solid or be abl to move side to side? I just don't think it has gone down far enough and locked into the "flats" on the end of the converter. Any help or input would help alot. Thanks in advance. Paul.
  8. I thought skyline injectors where the same, they have the same part numbers on a website i seen.
  9. Hi all Does anyone know what the flow rate is on standard TT injectors? I know 500cc are an upgrade and are good for 500 - 600BHP but i have seen skyline 440cc injectors for £80 and want to know if the standard TT ones are 440cc or are they less?
  10. My old boss had a bugatti veyron (hope that is spelt right), that had silver on black plates and he said he bought the car with them on (from a dealership).
  11. Im in the middle of doing this now. I started to replace the gearbox and when lifting the car on the ramp, the O/S/R sill went through. After a few stabs with a screw driver, i found the inside was worse then the outside. As for panels, i made mine with 1mm sheet steel. Very east to make as are roughly a flat sheet (give or take a bend or two), anyone with any sense would be able to make them and save your self £45 / panel. If possible, i will try to get some pictures up to show how its done, failing that, if you are willing to drive to Wirral (near liverpool / chester) i can do them no prob.
  12. You can uprate the valve body (big flat plate thing) in the bottom of the box and they can take aaround the 500 mark..
  13. 1990 onwards Nissan patrol auto gearbox is the same as the auto fitted to the Z32
  14. does it drop or rev higher? If it drops it could be split boost pipes or egr valve. had this prob myself on other car
