yep mine does that too, but my steering wheel is very obviously not straight. Going to change it anyway next month as my adaptor is sat in the cupbourd collecting dust.

Wonder if anybody could shed light in these 2. 1. When my car hits approx 1,500 rpm befire red line, its a little stuttery and you can hear the exhaust popping. I think its maybe related to the fact that no matter what I do I cant get the Temp Needle on the 1/2 Mark. I put some of this down to the fact I ripped out aircon and have a Koyo Rad, but as the little hoses at the rear of the engine leak a little once you switch the engine off, even if you dont use the hearter/air. I guess the Thermostat is stuck open? Car doesnt seem to be drinking fuel, but it was mentioned at the recent meet by a car somwhere along our convoy, that somebody was deffo runing rich, me possibly? 2. When overtaking in 4th or 5th at approx 2-3000 rpm the sound of the engine increases, the boost guage shows full boost, but the rev counter dont change and the car doesnt pick up any real speed. Car sounds like i should be accelerating quick but its not. I think its either A) Clutch needs Adjusting B) Clutch is slipping under torque C) Big boost leak at high revs.

nope its the zed, seems to be leaking out of those bloody nightmare hoses at the back og the engine. loosing about a cup of water once i switch off the engine.

Best thing about the Electronic controller is they you can turn it down when it rains or the road is bad, you have more control and if you want a tad more boost to show that pesky porsche a clean set of heels just turn the knob:)

Luckily with the rising fuel costs my wife has shut up about me selling my car. reason is I told her I really want to get rid of it but nobody wants a gas guzzler, so its not worth anything, especially as I have to resray it first. She fell for it :)

Stick one of those leather air freshners in your car LOL As you both said said, I would not do seats in Leatherette/Vinyl but for the door trims is a good DIY alternative to the tweed and looks 100% better (If done right, by a patient person) Mind you I dont have it in mine, but only because I have the S3 Alcantara? i think.

There are several different types of leatherette. The more expensive it is the thicker it generally is. But the thinker it is the more of a bugger it is to shape. There are also one what are quite rough in texture and ones that are quite smooth. I have sampled quite a few fabrics and ending up going for a slightly thinner, textures Vinyl/Leatherette with soft backing. I have used the thicker stuff before which TBH looks a tad nicer, but is so much harder to get right and seems to peel of easier.

I said to my wife that if i spent £3k on my car it would be improved and nicer. She spent £3k on her face and I see no difference. Didnt go down to well for some reason

The smoke does seem as if its caused by leaking under pressure. I say your engine is seems fine, but either something is blocked, a seal is leaking or there is oil in the exhausts from before. From what I have seen engine damage ususlly shows up on over run.

Dont worry Murt's was smoking like a trooper also, mine was stuttering and i am sure a few others were not 100%. You can always pop your car over one evening if you want me to have a look at it. As i said before i no mechanic, but over the 2 zeds i have owned I have had most problems, so now know a bit.
