  1. Hi Guys, Thanks for all your help, on closer inspection the water tank although empty is all oily in side, tell tell sights that it might not be just a head gasket.. have been told the head may be cracked by a friend, as you said well shagged.. I do think andyduff is right, it just might be better to get a s/h engine as i have been told that these engines have sleeves??? ( in the piston cambers) that can move when over heating has occurred that will cause problems and the guy i bought the car off can't be trusted. What did i pay mmmm £530 for a 1997 DT-X espace.. body work not bad but little bits here and there need doing, probable better of paying more and getting something half decent, now going to end up paying the same amount and having to do all the work out of a Haynes manual, which they don't do for the espace, need to use the laguna. and its so cold out there, how did i get into this mess???? Now I’m buggered!!
  2. Hi Guys, put the 300 way in the garage as i don't like driving it in winter and bought my self a non runner espace... Diesel 1997 (*I know..... fool*) Any way, I was told the head gasket has gone but now that I’ve got it home, the whole engine bay is covered in oil???? does this mean its a lot worse than just a head gasket???? or is it possible a pipe has blown under the pressure which has sent oil and water all over the place. I can’t see very well what’s going on in the engine bay as there is not much room.. any one got any ideas????? is it possible the heads cracked.. Waiting patiently for you advice and help, and biting my nails at the same time has anyone taken an espace engine out before????? Cheers Tony
  3. That looks great, but I can't really have that on my drive. It will attract too much attention.
  4. Hi folks, I am looking for a heavy duty car cover as the Z will be outside for a while. I have heard that the Gold Technalon ones are good. Please let me know if this is the case or recommend me a good one. I have been through the cheapo ones, halfords etc.. and found that within a couple of months they tend to disintegrate. Cheers.

  9. Fas notice your car the other day out side your house ( maybe?). I've been waiting nearly 2 years now for this guy who is going to do some work for me, he's surpose to be realy good, so I know how you feel about waiting and being told stuff. The car is under a cover in the front drive collecting rust. The only differance is that the work being done is not on my 300 but it is a Z. So may be we both should start looking around for someone new to do the job. Best of luck. Tony

  16. Are we talking about DaZz who was from Rochdale somewhere, cured my misfire, spent 2 hours or so checking the rest of the car with a computer and was reluctant to take any money??? Surly there must be a misunderstanding, we all make mistakes, or are we talking about 2 different guys. Tony.

  18. I drive a Citroen xm, didn't cost anything, have it for going on 6 years now, never service it, and no one in there right mined wants to nick it, but is big and comfortable and drives well.
  19. I think that your car insurance will end up claiming from your house insurance, which means that your premium will prob go up, so you might as well just get it done yourself.
