Trust Front Bumper
yeah mine is a scarab too but is damaged and i'm replacing it with a much more highly recommended urethane type bumper. i think the scarabs only come in fibreglass don't they? There's a bit of a waiting list at the Z centre by the way, unless you're after one of the 99 spec originals

FAO people who have re-trimmed
that's probably the nicest interior i've seen in a Z. Reminds me a lot of the 350Z i sat in a couple of weeks ago.

james, i had a quote for doing the interior in leather, and it wasn't a lot dearer than your price, but it does depend on the quality of the leather etc, so it's hard to get a real comparison. My advice would be to stick with someone with proven workmanship and consider the price secondary to that. I've seen it done the other way round....brings tears to the eyes more often than not!

Viper front end update - Konrad?
luke emailed me the viper pic fitted, and it had just a couple of little round lights below and to the side for indicators/sidelights, no fog lights at all. The original idea i suppose was that you buy the bumper from Luke and sort out the new light arrangement yourself. That was not really any good for me since my bodyshop has to do the whole painting/fitting job to completion, so i think Luke realised it would be easier to do this thing properly with proper lights included. That's what i hope will happen. I believe you have to change that centre panel between the headlights to accommodate the higher return of the viper. Anyway, hopefully it will end up that you can buy it all from Luke rather than start cutting your own holes for lights etc!

Viper front end update - Konrad?
hello Konrad, so do you actually have one of these bumpers in your possession? the side lights have to change to use that bumper so the original lights all have to change so you need a plan to get around that i presume?

newbie question folks
i drove a few of them before i bought mine (will post a pic soon) some where manual some auto. I found that the guys who have looked after them will usually reel off all the stuff they've done whereas the ones who haven't generally say nothing or don't know. I have to say it's the most reliable car i've ever had, i think jap cars are generally very reliable....fantastic engines etc. On the gearbox question, i usually prefer manual to auto but in this case i found the auto a bit quicker, it's not like a standard auto gearbox!! I'll bet they cost a sh**load more to replace than the manual boxes though?!!

Viper front end update - Konrad?
heh...well it may still be just theoretical! Actually Luke reckons the mold has been done for it or is being finished now, so it's a question of knocking a few out. He tells me it's going to be very popular, lot's of interest etc. The sticking point seems to be the light configuration. Where that has all changed, you need to have new housings and lights (mx-5 i believe) so he was working on a deal where you buy the whole lot off him and away you go. Luke and i have been discussing this since december though, and i need to sort it quickly because mine was hit by someone, so i may go for a greddy one if this drags on much longer! Admittedly they do look good and probably would be worth the wait if you had the time....

Viper front end update - Konrad?
i am waiting to get one done, Luke at z centre is working on it so you can buy the bumper complete with lights and housings etc, but it's taken a long while so far....

after market bumpers
thanks for that info guys, unfortunately, Luke is having trouble getting anything much other than a standard bumper (which i don't really want) so i'll try those traders mentioned above.

after market bumpers
hello folks, i'm new here and need some help in locating a new front bumper, preferably a urethane one. Does anyone know of any UK suppliers of these as i'm having trouble getting in touch with the Z centre and may need an alternative now. Thanks
