sounds like a power surge mate, not really sure if there is anything you can do. or could even be an earth problem. some stereos share the earth on unit and speakers. so might need another earth run to the bodywork. best bet is too look see if you have a car audio place near you and just pop in and ask them if they have any ideas.

i was at work on thursday night in my lorry when i got stuck at an accident. 30 seconds earlier and i would have been head on with a 38ton lorry. i went along the road and there was a broken down megane with its hazzard lights on. 15 minutes later on way back had to hit the brakes as a 38ton lorry ploughed into the back of it! lorry driver was a :xxx: tried telling me not to say that the car had warning lights as he was in enough trouble already! he tried to say the car was moving without lights on! the couple who's car it was only had minor injuries but they were very lucky to be alive. YES I DID GRASS THE TRUCK DRIVER!! MY CONSCIENCE IS CLEAR
