insurance....anybody
I pay £126 for all of my cars, regardless of mods or type of car. But that is with me having 13 policies with the same company I suppose. In fact it will be even cheaper this year as I had less policies last time. Its well worth putting multi cars with the same insurer. Its not so much or a risk to them as you can only drive one at a time. Shame the road tax people dont think the same way!!! £1500 for insurance, thats shocking!!!! Cheers...

Cheers again folks. I will download a full manual for keeps. I supose the bottom pipe could be turned around to go the other way? Or At least fit a Rad with the ports both on the same side, like a Skyline one I have seen?

Pictures of water hose set up please ??
Either picture or a diagram showing how th ewater hoses run to and from the engine and through the radiator if you have em please? Should there be any kinds of senders in the lines? Why do both pipes run from the engine the same way but the rad take offs are at different sides? Or am I completely lost here?? Cheers...

The house is actually on the coast road just on the outside of Prestatyn. I was looking at it when I first joined this website, but it was a bit tatty. I want a nice example eventually (Que the sellers...!) Cheers

Running Two Turbos through a single exit Exhaust ???
Rob, the body is all steel mate. It was chopped off an anglia chaisis and welded onto the homemade space frame. Its aproject I just took over by the way, been a labour of love for many years! I also have a YB Turbo Anglia thats on the road, that is mad enough. This one will be mental !!! Cheers for the word on the non critical turbo exhaust. You may guess from my words that I am more of an old school N/A sort of chap myself. All this elecronics stuff is beyond me, but its pretty basic when you strip it right down to basics. How about tube diameter for the main system then? Also would it be fine with only small silencers? My Anglia Cosworth Turbo lump has a 2.5" tube with mid box straight through silencer and that runs just fine. I also run a Mk2 Escort with Yb Turbo and that has two small silencers on the 2.5" tube, also fine for the job. Should then be sweet for a relatively smaller twin turbo set up then? How do these ZX motors like to breathe? I am going to enjoy this project I reckon! Cheers...

I live in Yarm mate, Redcar is my old stomping ground when I was a lad. Served my time drinking there. The good ole Coatham days! I will subscribe later on when work dies down a bit. I actually have a mint set of 18" A-tech Ultralite Alloys And Tyres in Nissan fit that are just gathering dust in me shed. Maybe right up someones street?? CK... I dont suppose you live anywhere near Rhyl do you? I used to see a 300X parked up for sale on the coast road from Prestatyn on my way to the digs when I was there about 18 months ago?? Cheers... Who knows I may end up buying a nice TT road car in the next month or so, woul dbe good to post up on the various ads.

Running Two Turbos through a single exit Exhaust ???
I will probably just *******ise something from bought downpipes and home made system, save the welding hassle and worry that the back pressures may be to pot. I never gave this a thought until just now, only ever had one turbo before... doh!

Running Two Turbos through a single exit Exhaust ???
I would buy one but its all the wrong shape for the car. I also dont really want anything to be under the floor as its currently just flat sheet steel from front to back. I have looked at buying just the downpipes from a manufacture company and then going from there. But I dont really want to go down the drivers side of the car at all, if I can help it. I have had an exhaust manifold made by Tubetorque in the past, good sugestion to ring the experts! Z32 space does not aply in my case, luckily!

Running Two Turbos through a single exit Exhaust ???
Maybe better if you look at this first... This is just a rough mock up of tubes at present and by no means the final design. But see the right hand downpipe going over to the left, this would then join with a form of Y piece at the left side downpipe. From there it can run through the car as a single tube. I know with good old fasioned exhausts (not upto speed with fancy new stuff, but getting there!) that its best to have all extractor pipes of an equal length. Is this the same case with Turbo downpipes??? Might just have a full change of mind and go for two side exit exhausts.. More fun for the flames!! Any thoughts??

Running Two Turbos through a single exit Exhaust ???
How technical are you experts in the house??? I am thinking of running two downpies from my Turbos into a single pipe and then running that along through the car to exit at the rear. I am wondering how it would effect the Turbos, if at all, with one down pipe being much longer than the other and going over the bellhousing and meeting the second down pipe on the other side. Can anyone see any issues with back pressures from the Turbos if these pipes meet closer to one Turbo than the other?? That is, would the higher pressure from the shorted length pipe blow back up into the longer pipe?? Does that make sense at all ??? Cheers dave...

I sthere a members only type gallery that I could use for updates? Its just that I intend to do a big unvailing of this Car once its done at a Classic Ford event. I am keeping it under wraps from the main Ford world until that time. Well thats the plan anyway, but all my other projects have been spread the world over! It wont be long before it gets out I suppose... Is anyone on here using a single exit exhaust from two turbos at all??? I suppose I had better go ask that question in a new thread. Cheers...

Yeah thats my whole point, I like to see the boy racers faces when they get left behind by the fat get in the funny little old car!! This is going to be primarily a drag strip car, but fully road legal for fun!!!

Do you all reckon its best for me to subscribe even though I dont tecnically own a full ZX?? Will I still be allowed to play?? Cheers...
