does sound like you have blown a boost pipe off. ecu will still let you have some boost in safety mode.

it is a bargain mate as i think the autobox rebuild cost him around 1500 so you wont have the box blowing up on you anytime soon. buy it and spend a little bit on sorting the small things and then your pretty much set to just use it and maintain it.

nice clean car mate and a very honest advert by richard. nothing wrong with an early car really. the autoboxes are unreliable but when working well arent a bad bit of kit but IMO you cant beat a manual. my car was an auto but i had a manual box put in when the autobox failed and the car now feels more responsive and quicker. all personal opinion mate and whatever you get it is better to get a car like richard than an ebay special as you can trust people like richard to be honest and you know all the good and bad have been pointed out.
