  2. guess what colour i like best,,,,,,,:2guns:
  3. Happy birthday chaps have a great day,,,,,:happybday::happybday::happybday::happybday:
  4. i just like to help people down this way who need there zed cared for as there does not seem to be many qualified zed specialists around,,, as for darren he spends most of his time under a bonnet,,, sorry if i go on a bit but i just very happy with the service i get,,,
  5. correct mate the connectors are easy, but alot of zeds looms get brittle due to the heat, but i guess if you have been doing them for over 20 years you get used to making sure all is plumbed in and tight, i bought a breaker last year for a manual conversion and that had had its turbos done with the engine out and things were not all connected properly on that one and there was photographs of the job being done , so i guess even with the engine out things can get missed.
  6. big advantage to leaving the engine in is that you do not disturb anything else, mainly the loom as, as soon as you start removing the engine you will break connectors etc.. on the brittle loom. if your on a budget it is better to do the tubs with the engine in.
  7. think your looking at over a grand mate.
  8. d2 are in strood in kent
  9. darren at d2 does both turbo's without removing the engine
  10. bottom ends arent too bad on zeds, much better than the ca18. you may think the sr20's are bulletproof but they arent as the bottom end went in my sons s14. all are equal to be honest, apart from the ca18 as the bottom end is made from cheese
  11. d2 are probably closer mate, get it there and darren will do the HG to the highest of standards and you can be assured great service.
  12. :happybday:Happy birthday...
  13. ive got one, havent tried setting the boost etc... as that was done by darren when he installed it but the displays are very easy to read and switch between. seems to be very accurate :).
  14. YASSA jnr loves em,,,,,,
  15. happy birthday:happybday:
  16. happy birthday:happybday:
  17. cheers bud, ill let you know
  18. just ordered a pair of rebuild kits with 360 degree collars etc... will wait until i rebuild the engine to put bigger tubs on. cant really afford to spend thousands on big tubs at the moment either.
  19. i would personally go for a more aggressive offset but it depends what stance you want . 9.5j et20 and 8.5j et15 would give a nice aggressive stance but may be a tight squeeze without any arch work.
  20. yes mate it seems to be the passenger one but it is no problem which side it is as dazkent (darren at d2) will be doing the work and he replaces both sides with the engine in situ.
  21. very good idea mate, will probably end up doing that as slightly larger turbo's seem to be more than slightly more expensive :(.
  22. probably going to put a pair of upgraded turbo's on. just got to find somewhere that sells cheap upgraded turbo's for the Z.
  23. on the way to the meet today and gave it some down a slip road and then all boost stopped but the car still ran fine. then all i could here was a metal scraping sound coming from under the bonnet and the car would not boost at all. got to the meet, checked for boost leaks etc.. all was fine. let it cool down and then went out for a drive. boosted fine at first then the same problem as before happened. got back and now even if car is revved when standing still you can hear the scraping. luckily dazkent (darren from d2) was at the meet and correctly diagnosed it as a completely wrecked turbo :(
  24. the red one :( :( :(
  25. ... well, nearly :(
