im a locksmith and i dont charge a fortune :slap: but your right if a key code is available it can sometimes? approx 40%of the time! be found on the outside of the lock/barrel if not just take the lock out and take it to a locksmith by the way beetle locks are shite and generally warn out so ya cock would of opened it anyway lol :rofl:

just to let you know fixed prob it was lower hose under pressure causing the skinny jublly clips to expand and expel water tightened alternator belt while i was at it to ;) 2 new clips and is spot on now thanks to all that helped ;) gregz

the thing is il have a go myself! if it ****s up my mate will do it whos a a brill mechanic! if that fails it will go to z tech for eg.. to many people pay top dollar for *****x end up paying a higher price in the long run. take for eg.. i had a water leak!! got the car up on ramps,made by myself and fixed it myself! where as if i took it to joe bloggs who has only had 2 customers this week,then my water pump is fooked my rad is leaking thermostat is ****ed :nono: so sod that pay for the job to be done right the first time
