sounds like its a wet air filter if the MAF gets wet the car will most probably run like a bag of shite above 3000rpm

i had a stillen one fitted and tbh i found it a pig to use,perhaps i shnould of used oem bushings for the shifter instead of the plastic bushes it came with

no pete there not standard on imports,just some were lucky they were fitted ;)

graham does yours light up being a later model? and so the 99spec rear centre panel doesnt light up,which it should do if its 99spec :confused:

sounds daft but i had this problem,have you checked the large fuse in the small fusebox front drivers side of engine theres a large fuse there for ignition again im sure you have checked,but worth a look,i blew mine fitting fog switch to the ignition

croydon essex bought it from an asian lad,it didnt have a lot going for it when i bought it,bad tyres,brakes,broken bodykit-and i knocked him down from 5k to £4300 to pay for the things i needed to change-it cost me a lot more to sort though.mechanically the car is sound only things touch wood iv had to replace so far is starter motor£50 fitted myself battery£50 brakes£200 fitted myself new shocks and springs £500 fitted
