  1. Have you SORN'ed that cake? You turned 40 in November .... and show us the cake NOW !!!
  2. OK, large foot init, again! I´ve just found the write-up I mis-read about 2 ASC cars.... I did not have time to delete the stupid comment I made, on the previous reply, before it was "locked" Wot a tart! Quote http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissan-300ZX-Spyder-ASC-Retractable-Hardtop-Convertible-Concept-Car-/230549973404?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item35add9699c#ht_3333wt_1121 "For the show, the car was painted in a custom color called Mallorca Green Pearl, which is sophisticated and very light-dependent. Under some conditions, it looks almost blue, but in bright sunlight, it's turquoise." Still, the rest of their write up (unlike mine) makes good reading. "OK,OK, my mammary is going,..... I´ve been working too many night shitfs..... and I keep making smelling mistakes"!!! I´ll "shut-it" for now and just stick to reading.
  3. [/img] Quite a clean looking interior.... shows that care has been taken with this car. I read somewhere very recently, that there are two cars. one is a greenish colour and the other is this blueish colour. Being an enthusiast of the 300ZX in general, I would love this car to be in "my personal collection"........ along with a vert, slicky, swb, lwb, lhd, rhd, TT, NA and all in a variety of colour schemes. Although I do not personally own this collection, nor could I afford this desired collection, I still have the joy of seeing and reading about this great collection everytime I log-on to the various 300ZX web-sites. Thanks for all your personal preferences in making OUR collection a great one. Long may we all enjoy this fabulous car, in all it´s different guises. Cheers
  4. Has it been sold ??? If so, how much did it go for ???
  5. Yepp, big foot well and truly init !! I have just found other mentions on this site from way back in October 2007. Different search words bring up the beastie .... A lovely car never the less....
  6. Whilst looking for 300ZX stuff on the internet, I came across this.... "eBay Find of the Day: 1991 Nissan 300ZX Spyder concept" I then did a search on this site and could not find any mention of it. OK, the add is a bit out of date - 18th November, but I thought there might have been a bit of discussion about it here. Any one know if it has been sold yet? (not that I could afford it) See if anyone can get some more info.... Cheers
  7. Meteor Shower! Well, as advertised but only 50% right !! I saw the Shower part. What dismal weather in Slough!
  8. I've got three screens linked up ..... and I still can't see the whole of the valve on your front wheel !!! I will have to get these photos put on the screens they provide at the F1 events.... Nice motor matey !
  9. Better breathing is assured, errrmmmm .... yesss ! But 50 is a bit overkill, don't you think ?! :D Still patiently waiting for those SCLs ! :p Glen
  10. So how is the redecorating of your baby's "room" going Si ? Got any pics yet ???
  11. The planets are mentioned here ... Blue Collar Comedy Tour - BIG DECK http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQ7Ue5emo6I Chuckle
  12. If you are interested in WW2 stuff, check this out.... http://www.thewarandpeaceshow.com/ Takes place in Kent from 22nd to 26th of July. Just under 3 weeks away.... It's the biggest gathering of privately owned military vehicles in Europe. They usually have over 2000 vehicles on show. You will find europeans from many countries dressed up in genuine military uniforms, camping on the site in military tents / dug-outs / trucks / command posts etc... They stage some fantastic re-enactments as well. Even some of the tanks fire blanks, as they charge around the huge arena....lots of thunder flashes, smoke grenades, rifles and machine guns........ flippin deafening ! There are huge marquees and stalls selling lots of memorabilia as well. I think it was last year, or the year before that a Spitfire was flying overhead. The pilot was waving down at us as he banked steeply. The sound of the Merlin engine tearing along was just magical.... Well worth a visit..... Cheers Glen
  13. Ahhh, you're still around... ! Are you feeling okay ? Are you gonna get your car resprayed white ? Sorry, I'm BAD, I'm BAD !
  14. Tile it ... Much smarter and easy to clean. How big is your garage ? I went for a three week holiday around europe visiting Ferrari owners with my dads best friend. This was some years ago now, but we visited one place which has always stuck in my mind. It was a big house that had a spacious garage containing two pristine Ferraris up on axle stands. The garage was initially dark until the owner switched on some spotlights that were directed to the two cars. He then put on the rest of the lights which made the garage brighter than daylight! The walls were white ceramic tiled as was the floor - big tiles - ultra clean. Each car had a two foot wide border of dark green Leather set into the floor. It was gold leaf embossed as well .... One of the cars looked as though it was over a pit, but in fact it was over a huge mirror showing the underside of the car.... Looking up, the ceiling was all mirrors ..... The place gave the impression of an operating theater, but extremely smart.... a worship place for the Ferraris. Your car would not have looked out of place there Si.... There was a long polished Beechwood, brass edged, work bench along one wall and an amazing array of mechanics tools mounted on dedicated Beechwood racks behind glass cabinet doors. It did not look as though the bench or tools had been used.... There were some very large classy Ferrari pictures mounted on the walls, as well as a big Ferrari flag. Another wall had a huge mirror, so it looked as though he had got four Ferraris. Part of the garage was partitioned off into what looked like an office/spectators gallery. It had a glass wall allowing you to look through to the cars. There were big sumptuous black leather loungers, low beechwood tables and a glass fronted fridge full of Champagne, Beers and chilled glasses. The rest of the house and gardens just showed what you can get if you've got loads of money. I nearly broke my jaw gawping at what was there. I think my description only gives this place a little bit of the justice of it really deserves, from what I saw and remember. It was a truely awesome place owned by a rich car fanatic. I hope your imagination can fill in any gaps you may have. Sorry I cannot find any photos, this was a long time ago - I will see if I can find some - It was a brilliant three weeks which also included scrambling over car wrecks in a junkyard to find a trashed Ferrari and a Fiat Dino Spyder! So, do it with tiles, Si....... Big white ones......... and mirrors...... and spot lights...... and Leather.......... and give your internationally famous car a filmstar garage..... (unless your garage is a titchy little place hidden under bell-bine and nettles amongst other little asbestos corrugated roofed garages - then all you need is a Mr Bean paint bomb ! - with lots of dynamite !) You have been directed... by me ! ( PS - I've got my Leatherseats.com complete two-tone interior waiting in Spain - chuffed to bits - stunning ) (PPS - This is the second attempt at writing this - having finished the first draft, I selected PREVIEW POST and this crappy Club editor said I was no longer logged in - All was lost - *****x - But I thought this was worth writing, so I did it all again on Notepad. I am about to cut and paste to the Club editor now - enjoy - It was good to recall this garage from my memory). (PPPS - Quote James May "Cock" - What a crappy editor - it chucked me out a second time as well - glad I used Notepad ! ;) Glen
  15. Ha ! Hilarious ... A great snow plough though ! BTW, no lane changing allowed either, the Cats eyes will demolish that low low car !!! Looks like the white lines painted on the road might also cause a problem !! That can really stuff you at traffic light Grand Prix's !! :mac1: -- Just re-read what I wroted/written/right. "Plough" and "though" made me "cough" ! What weird English spelling we have! SNOW PLOW is regarded as American spelling.
  16. How are things going? Hope all is well. G
  17. Why not get another Z and use the good bits from this car for yourself ?
  18. I think that Sonic006 edited from page 1, losing the members who had signed in on page 2. That's why you have moved up to number 20. Distance willing to travel is dependant on reason for travel, money, availability and above all, what "her-indoors" dictates! "Nothing luv!, I'm on the computer again! - is the dinner ready?..... OK, I'm just turning it off now.......coming!".

  20. Wow, that's one amazing operation! Wishing her all the best. == It's normal that everyone moans about "the missus", but it doesn't get away from the fact that the "her-indoors" in everyones lives, is extremely special. Always a laugh and joke until something major happens. Then it's harder to find the smile. == I strongly believe that smiles and laughter keep the body and soul healthy. (Along with food and wine/beer, of course!) == Are the screws going to be permanent? I guess they are. If not, don't forget to apply a generous spray of WD40 before removing them! == Humour can get you into trouble with serious people, but life is too short to be serious all the time. == "Take real good care of her" doesn't really need to be said, cos that's what you are doing. Stay strong, happy and don't forget to laugh. G. ==
  21. Hi zx-eyes, I can see your data sheet, interesting read - which I did not need to click on. It was the thumbnail data sheet from Coopers-swb (signed Darrell) that I am having difficulty with. Its like trying to focus on a fleas fanny from forty feet! I have checked my screen resolution, looked for zoom in options, tried copying the thumbnail to paint and opening to get 800x zoom, but I can't seem to get any focus to read the data for his set-up. Have you clicked on his (Coopers-swb) thumbnail data sheet? I would like to see what differences there are in the two cars.
  22. Who has got lazer eye-sight for that thumbnail data-sheet?? I know my eyesight is failing, but that is ricadoodlious!!! When I zoomed in using another editor, it was worse than the focus after a few stellas! Any chance of a better pic Darrell?
