iirc It's mainly due to the viscous diff on the zed not really locking up quick enough.

tbh it does look a bit '90's to me, don't mean to cause any offence. For me it's the front that makes it look dated.

Have to agree with you mate, on looks alone there's no comparison between a z32 and r33. The older skylines look very dated now.

You could try tapping the perspex panel above the gauge. I have to do this occasionally with my stock temp gauge.

Have a look at the vac pipe going to the sender again, they break really easily due to age.

ebay is your friend here, you need a sandwich plate. Make sure the one you get has a seal on the engine side.
