  19. help!! after hving my car get a little warm last week then when i stopped it made a kinda hissing noise followed by a woosh! (honestly, no hollyhocks tho) opened the bonnet and had a load of steam (smelt of coolant) come up from by the brake master cylinder, autobox dipstick area. I thought that the heater matrix hoses had failed so removed them, inspected them (they seemed intact but one had a large bulge at the end and the other was split on the end behind the jubi clip) and ordered some new ones from Mike. Fitted them last night and went out for a little spin everything seemed ok. checked the levels this morning and topped up the water (i expected to have to do this cos of the airlocks) for half hour as norm after any work on the cooling system. lol i then got in to do a 25 mile drive, all was well until about 3/4 of the way throught the journey i pulled up and noticed steam again!! from the edge of the bonnet, my gauges were fine no increase in heat so was very confused. turned on the heaters just in case and gently limped to my destination, opened the bonnet when i got here and...... nothing, no steam. Listening intently i could hear a gurglin noise that appeared to be coming from just below the master cylinder on the enigine side but more towards the top left corner of the engine (if you were looking from above directly down with the nose of the car pointing south) I am stumped and more than a little stuck, anybody local to me (car is in Littledean in the forest of dean, gloucestershire, GL14 3LL) able to help me out or any ideas or anything. Well annoyed cos she has been running beautifully for some time now and then Pow!!! dirty hands time again. Hope someone can help :( have tried to contact Greg cos he put the engine back in the last time and kinda knows my car but dont know if the number i have is current. if anyone has his number or will be seeing him can you pls ask him to get in touch (my phone number is on the post entitled **urgent** lol.) Many thanks in advance, heres hoping one of you lovely wonderful skilled fellow enthusiaists can help a fellow zedder ... L

  21. Hi all Had a water leak on friday from back of the engine, think i have traced it to the 2 hoses in the centre at the back of the engine. which i beleive are the heater matrix supply and return. where can i get these from ASAP? they are the 2 shaped ones right in the centre at the top. help much appreciated. Speed
  22. wont miss this for the world 1 car 4 passes pls.. cheers bud ;)
  23. Nailed it... it was the bloomin bonnet sensor for the alarm, the spring loaded switch had broken so the alarm thought the bonnet was open.. cheers anyway andy ;)
  24. Hi chaps, aint been on in a while but have a problem which is absolutely doin my nut in.. Went to autosport last friday and when i got there, closed the doors went to set my alarm (clifford G3 full closure) and noticed it flashed 4 times to tell me a door was open. re- closed both doors re-set alarm.. same again tried the boot ... same again so left it set with the one sensor un armed. I have since had the problem that my boot light is on but the boot is latched tight and the door open light is on on the dash... i have dismantled the bootlock mechanism and cleaned it, re mounted it (actually set it further down on the sliding bolts so it shuts better) and still have the same prob i.e boot light on and warning light on dash AND the alarm is not arming correctly.. CAN ANYONE HELP??????? cheers guys.. One very frustrated Speedfreak!!!
