how do u know when its bleed properly

I recently fitted a nrw water pump, rad cap, thermostate and timing belt kit to my tt and since doing that my expansion tank is filing with water and dripping onto the floor. Change the rad cap again but no joy, the top hose is hard so there is preasure, is it possible the thermostate is causing the system to over preasure, any help would be great thanks.

Hi does anyone know roughly how much you would space out the front arms to allow for a 35mm drop, i ask this as a guide so i can then go and get it checked and make a minor adjustment without paying a garage to do all the work. ps i have a camber correction kit, same as dta supply.also using avo 35mm drop springs.

Sorry guys can't make the 5th out on the piss the night before, wouldn't want to be over the limit would i. Its a shame only had the back on the road yesterday, new water pump all belts inc timing belt, oil seals and a sgp pulley. Drives much better more response low down. cars been of the road for 6 weeks water pump went on the M5. Ill put my hand up and say it was me. water pump bearings colapsed car overheated and now just hoping for the best, it runs fine just hope the turbo's haven't cooked or the piston rings. mate of mine towed me back using a bar the bar broke and put us both into a spin, still alive though.

THANKS GUYS fitted the converter 18 months ago but yesterday i decided to fit my new speedo rings and cover plate and thats when things went pearshaped.

Removed and reinstalled my clocks today, no probs all day. went out later started car and both needles speedo and rev's went straight to max and have stayed there even after disconnecting the battery, any idea's. the car is a 1992 jap import manual with a speedo convertor.

HI i removed my hicas unit only 2 bolts, disconected the fluid pipes and the track rod ends, i then took the whole rack to bar propshafts who reconed it for me for £45 all in, its best to take it to someone who knows how to reset the rack as there are spacers in it to allow the movement, took it home connected it all back up and bleed the rack, got it tracked in a four wheel tracker another £25 and job done much better now. New arms cost £56+vat each plus fitting which i was quoted about £85+. do it yourself easy job,
