    id be interested in the OCT date as any earlier would be impossible as the wife would be having our third child.
  2. removed mine at about the same mileage and had no probs, 2 years on still ok, go for it.
  3. Had mine towed by my mate in his 2.0l astra using a bar, at some points in the journey we were doing 90mph downhill over brecon, scared me s!!tless, mines a manual by the way.

    you are the unluckiest guy i know when it comes to accidents.
  7. i had a similar problem after i fitted my new bottom pulley, put a new greddy rad cap on and all fixed.
  8. I have done the job myself and it took about half an hour, jack the front of the car up and undo the tensioner on the alternator, undo the 4 10mm bolts on the fan and move the fan forwards, then fit belt adjust tension refit fan, check tension again job done.
  9. Got mine today as well. Must say I'm impressed. I didn't expect such a well made pack. Well done chaps.

    so is it confirmed its the head gasket, if so your mate who put that pipe on has a lot to answer for, hope you get it sorted soon, all the best, mark who was there when you broke down.
  15. Just got back from japfest, weather cleared up and it was a good day, also had the chance to put some names to faces.Nice to meet you all really enjoyed.
  16. Thanks guys, but its not that good, but im going to keep at it till i get it right and paint the whole car.The preping is the bit i hate and the part that let me down on this job.

  18. fitted my new bumper and skirts a month ago but was let down by the painter so i had no choice but to paint them myself and im happy for my first attempt, will do again though after japfest.

  20. No points and and 29 yrs old, what seams to bring my quote down is by putting my wife on the policy as she is 30 and there is something about the z and being over 30 insurers like, a few companys won't quote with me on my own.
  21. Just insured the z ready for japfest £243 fc with legal and breakdown cover, 5000miles on a classic policy with carol nash, so im off to buy some paint to paint my front bumper and skirts, see all you guys and gals next sat.
  22. For that sort of money you can't go wrong, my wife and kids would kill for a tent like that.
