  1. Hey Martin, i have a single exit 4.5inch jap exhaust on my 300zx twin turbo and it was bloody annoying when driving so brought a exhaust bung from scooby world and it's so quiet now.
  2. took it for a longer drive today and it drives really good no more stalling which is great
  3. All seems well at the moment but im not convinced until i take it out for a longer drive.
  4. Right guys i think i found the problem. i located a vaccuum line going into a small rectangle box what looks like a map sensor or some sort on driver side which was split really badly so replaced that and also cleaned up the pcv valves which were not dirty in the first place. Any other things to check before i take it for a run and get stranded some where lol?
  5. cheers lads, will check for air leaks. will update if i get it sorted
  6. Hi all, just insured my zed tt and upon taking it out for a test drive. the car stalls when breaking and at low speeds. also smokes a little on idle possibly a pcv valve fault? what do i check?
  7. thanks jimmer for the help, im sorting it tommorow:)
  8. Seriously jimmer. i cant believe that when some sprockets move when tension is applied will it not knock it out of time? How much movement is allowed on the sprockets when tensioning? i believe you jimmer but i must be 100% sure though before i go do it tommorow.
  9. Hi all. Started my little service on my 300zx twin turbo. im at the stage where im putting the new cambelt on. Ive set no.1 to tdc and lined up marks on the pulleys and sprockets to their marks and dots as said in workshop manual. I put belt on starting at the crankshaft pulley and work my way round anticlockwise. As soon as i start to move the tensioner towards belt to bolt it in place some sprockets move and are no longer on there timing marks. At this point i take belt off adjust sprockets back on thier marks and start again and i lose everytime.:( Anyone know of a method to keep the top 4 sprockets still and locked in place when i install the cambelt?:)
  10. Hi all thanks for the warm welcome steve-300zx:)
